    Agreed - I dont see us going out to buy a replacement middle forward for Reg. The average of 53 mins per game that he has played over the last 5 years can be covered by increasing the minutes of any number of middle forwards, including Paulo.

    Well it helps him in his negotiations if he knows he is free to move for 2025. Club has totally done the right thing by Gutho in this matter and treated him with the respect he deserves. There is one major difference between JR and BA and how they approach certain things that I have been made...

    I said that the club has already agreed not to hold him to 2025 if he asks for a release. If he doesn't ask, he stays. Simple.

    There has to be a risk in inflating their players worth doesn't there? They could actually price the player out of an offer from someone else.

    ^^^ The Board had already agreed that should Gutho receive an offer elsewhere, they would not hold him to his 2025 contract year. But we are not paying out anything to him.
