2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

So that will be 13 from BWSE in the first 2 rounds. Mounties will have plenty available all year because the Manly appointed coach likes to see about 15 Manly players in the BWSE team each week.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

I did not see these games but I note that 6 players in the Hills SS team were part of the Hills A Grade team that lost 60-0 to Wenty in August last year. There are very few from last years' premier team.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Can anyone identify the 7 players whose names do not appear in the Ryde Eastwood team list? I thought this garbage was going to disappear this year.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Should be a good opener at Aubrey Keech. Mounties have added Watson Heleta, Livai Saukura, Ben Seufale, Joe Tramontana, Aden Perry, Kayne Kalache and Haimona Hroti from BWSE for the game. SS should also be competitive with Roman Ioelu and Sam Kimi Ioane in the centres.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Clubs must have known about at least last week or earlier, because Sharkie posted last Sunday that clubs had a meeting and all wanted the points cap increased but he didnt indicate that they were reacting to the issue know identified, so I assumed they had enough of the endless race to the...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Complete farce. This is the NSWRL strategy for Junior League - ensure that noboby changes clubs and teams will stop dying out. In JRL they add on 25 points for a player switching clubs. If you apply the same strategy to a Senior competition then it ceases to exist or you settle for 4 team comp...

Teams are starting to come in now. Kane Evans in the front row for Glebe.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Canterbury (RMC) and Manly (SS) are the only clubs with team lists at this stage. The Bulldogs lineup suggests they are taking it far more seriously this year.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

We can only hope that the NSWRL recognises the blunder it made 21 years ago, and abolishes the points completely and allow clubs to sign anyone that is willing to play. But I cant see it happening, as NSWRL believes the implementation of points systems in every competition in the State will halt...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Glebe has signed Craig Garvey and Jade Anderson. As posted earlier they have lost Dev Makoare Boyce, Jonah Ngaronoa, Michael Pearsall, Bilal Maarbani, Peter Nay, Dylan O'Connor, Riley Travers, Mason McCarthy, Sean Sabutey and a few Roosters that played for them have also signed with other clubs.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

The following players are part of the BWSE NSW Cup squad, who were not selected for round 1, and thus subject to injury, may be available for Mounties for their round 1 clash with St Marys: Brad Abbey, Watson Heleta, Andrew Cartisano, Anton Iaria, Bruce Ward, Epa Navale, Haimona Hroti, Harrison...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

If any club has problems with points limits it will be those without any juniors because every junior goes into the cap at zero.

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Following the naming of the North Sydney side for round 1 of the NSW Cup, we now have a fair idea who will be in the Hills team for Round 1 against Glebe on 17 March. The Hills players - Brad Keighran, Taniela Lasalo, Maile Li and a couple of benchmen will probably be joined by 12 of the...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

St Marys had a good struggle with a solid Cessnock side today, with a strong finish giving the Saints a 26-10 victory. Williams scored the first try for St Marys in he 9th minute, but Cessnock steadied and replied with tries in the 19th and 27th minute to lead 10-6. St Marys hit back immediately...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

You are correct that quite a few SS players were given an opportunity, but Hill's last year, retained very few of their premiership team and became virtually dependant on North Sydney. 2 weeks ago when Hills beat an understrength Mounties team, the Norths guys wore their Norths shorts but today...

2024 RM Cup and Sydney Shield

Wenty won both games RMC - 7 tries to 2, and SS 7 tries to 1. Hills scored both the tries in RMC in the last 5 minutes of the game.
