2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

In the late 90's, St Clair won its first A Grade premiership with 3 ex NZ internationals in the team and a club would be doing well if it made the semis with less than 3 or 4 ex 1st Graders in the team. Do you have any more info on this Business Houses comp at Wentworth Park - era, teams etc...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

I am glad someone thinks it is of value but sadly the numbers involved in this forum have declined just as the population of players and clubs continue long term decline at all levels except the professional and the womens game. In 2016 there were 13 teams in RMC and 14 teams in SS.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Yesterday was my first visit to Milner this year. Eastwood RU is going to relocate to Castle Hill and the local residents are fighting against proposals to build medium density housing on the 3 fields. The NSWRL set up their desk right on the fence next to stand so when the first try was scored...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

The crucial game for Cabra to make the top 5 comes next week, when they meet Mounties, who are 3 points behind and have an inferior points differential. This assumes that the point falsely given to Cabra in the system when Moorebank beat them, is not in official records.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

St Marys had to repel challenges from Brothers in both grades yesterday, In SS, St Marys pushed their 12-8 half time advantage to 22-8 in the first 10 minutes of the second stanza, before Brothers struck back to grab a 24-22 lead with 12 to go. With the clock running down, Kaleb Farr scored in...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

The big win to the Silktails today by 42-14 puts huge pressure on Hills. The Silktails are now in 5th spot on points differential and Hills have already had their 2nd bye. With Silktails powerful under their climate and 3 home games to come it looks like it could be a blanket finish for 3rd to...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Lorenzo Mulitalo, who has been playing for Mounties all season, got a run with Parramatta in NSW Cup last week. Similarly, Steve Tavita, who has been playing for St Marys all season, has been picked to debut with Penrith tomorrow. Hayden Budd, a rooster who has been playing for Glebe, is 19th...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Good to see a RMC club signing a high profile player. There were very few ex NRL players going around at the start of the season. Hills really need to lift their standard too date if they are to be any chance.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

I found another instance in July 2016 when Cabra had a catch up game in SS against Peninsula Seagulls and with RMC having a bye, Cabra dropped back 9 players to SS. Seagulls won 36-16. On the previous Wenesday night, cellar dwellers, Auburn Warriors had a catch up SS game against one of the...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

I did a bit of research this afternoon re clubs dropping back players. I dont think you should have sympathy for Cabra SS having to play against a few guys that might usually be seen in RMC or NSW Cup. In August 2017, with Cabra having a bye in RMC, of the 17 players that played in Cabra's...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

A couple more players from the Hills roster for 2022 have appeared for Wenty in recent weeks with Pat Bolea playing RMC last game and Alofi Mataele in Wenty's A Grade. Other Hill's losses from last year include Henry Rawalui (London Broncos), Blake Goodman (Mounties), Rhys Sciglitano (Lakes...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Agreed. Ideally all clubs would have 2 teams and that was largely the case some years ago and then some clubs wanted to enter only RMC while others wanted to get a foot in the door via SS. The good news is that this year Mounties have returned to the 2 team structure, Glebe have embraced it and...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Well I guess both clubs have to comply with the SS points cap but clearly being a catch up game Glebe had the option to put in players that would normally be playing RMC. Anyway they play again next week and the Glebe RMC will be in Fiji, so Cabra get an opportunity to reverse it if they are...

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

An Aaron Johnson, a prop, has played 7 games in NSW Cup for St George this year, the last on 21 May. A switch of clubs?

I should have looked further down the page, but the guy who knows how to calculate time was running the computer so Glebe played with 12 men for 68 minutes - that is a great win.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Glebe SS strengthened tonight by the inclusion of Devon Makoare Boyce and Eden Rodgers Smith. The latter now having played NSW Cup, RMC and SS this season.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Fair Call but at 10 july last year they had won 11 out 12 in RMC and then lost 5 of their last 6 games so there is still time to implode, but there doesnt appear to be many alternative premiers.

2023 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

It appears that Moorebank bt Cabramatta 25-24 last night but for some reason the headline score has reverted to the score at half time ie 12-12 and the system is giving each club one point for a draw. The omission of a goal kicked by Mounties in SS last week has not been corrected so what are...
