    Redcliffe Dolphins recruitment targets

This line gets thrown around a bit but is flat out wrong. Broncos had 4 qld reps in 1988 and 7 in 1989. Lazarus didn't join them until 1992 either. They had quite a few brl journeymen and a couple of players from Sydney looking for a chance at 1st grade in their early years

    Justice for the Wests Tigers

Yer.. common sense says surely this is just a badly worded way of saying you have to kick the ball from behind the line.. ie you can't be in front of the goal line to take the kick because this would mean you are kicking from overt he line... like when we used to see dropouts taken a good metre...

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

Maybe it's because of the women's soccer world cup next year... isn't suncorp unavailable for a big chunk next year?

    WA BEARS

Weren't they just all league playing juniors that went to schools that only played union which led to them spending time as union players, and union sycophants then claiming them as union players poached by the evil nrl??

    Stalled and stagnant Sydney clubs

Sorry.. redcliffe and sunny coast have nothing in common and not really that close either to say they're the sunny coast team. Not really sure what storm does apart from give their squad a feeder team to play in... only time they played here was during covid lockdown... didn't even play trials...

    Stalled and stagnant Sydney clubs

So I live on Sunshine Coast... who's my team in the nrl???

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I do similar going to suncorp. I drive an hour from sunny coast to northgate station then jump the first city bound train to Roma Street station. Never wait more then ten minutes for a train in and out and free parking at the station. This 2hrs from redcliffe to suncorp is just bull shit

    TWO new Brisbane teams

North's are a broncos feeder and pretty close to red Hill (15 mins) and traditional rival to Redcliffe so not sure they will become a feeder to the dolphins

The Game 2022 NRL Draw discussion, speculation

Really... why not.. its one round to open the season. Id say a good chance that a spread of games like that will get bigger crowds at the games and more eyes on TV than 4 games in Sydney and another 4 some where else..or whatever mix of venues you think.

The Game 2022 NRL Draw discussion, speculation

I've always thought that round 1 should have a game in every city they we have a team. 8 venues.. Townsville, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Auckland, Melbourne. Times and opponents can be figured but gives all fans a chance to be a part of the season opener.

    The Game 2021 Crowd Watch

Seems that would be decent crowd...aren't stadiums at 75% at the moment if they hold more than 20k.

    The Game 2021 Judiciary Charges

What a crock of shit. Meanwhile Kotoni Staggs couldn't start his suspension for an off field incident until he was fit to resume playing again.... has that ever happened before.... like didn't Brent Naden serve a drug suspension in the off season and wouldn't miss a game if Penrith had...

Maroons team for the successful 2021 Origin series

Based on nothing but gut feeling I wonder if Qld development suffers because it's junior rep teams ie 16 18 20s are part of qcup team systems whereas junior rep teams in nsw are under nrl club systems. No disrespect to the qcup teams but they are semi pro at best compared to fully funded nrl...

    Question on Peter V'landys

Your ramble makes no sense or point. Broncos 16k first season average was second in the league behind fellow newbies Newcastle who averaged 20k. Hardly miserable when you actually put it into context. Majority of teams that season had sub 10k averages. Couldn't find the Brl season averages...

    News Coronavirus and NRL

So if teams are playing behind closed doors, is there any real need to play at expensive stadiums.. why use Suncorp, bankwest, ANZ etc when decent quality smaller venues could be used.. Dolphin oval or Langlands Park in Brissie, any number of decent suburban venues in Sydney??? If clubs are...

    News Coronavirus and NRL

So if 500 is some magical threshold of being close proximity to people, is there a reason why stadiums couldn't be operated with a reduced capacity and have people in sections of maximum 500, then with some space between sections. Surely you could spread 10 000 people around ANZ stadium and...

Channel 9 wants to kill of a sydney club

you mean like the golden era of the 80s when canterbury, parra, and manly played in every grand final except 1. Or how about that Golden era when the dragons won 11 in a row in the 50s/60s. I'm not really sure what your point is. It sucks for teams that aren't the domineers, but seriously...

    Rationalisation of Sydney

So if the NRL club has 26 players, what do the nine not playing each week do??? Maybe they could be in a comp called NRL seconds??

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Thats true but El D implies it's because brisbane wouldnt allow another team at thst stage which is unlikely considering NSWRL issued the licence and broncos would have had no power in 1987. More likely NSWRL controlling where and how expansion would happen as this was their biggest step to date.
