Anthony Siebold is more concerned about vaccinating NRL players than Broncos performances

I'd say he cares more about making a nice slideshow than winning

    2020 R4 Sat - Eels 19-16 Sea Eagles @ Bankwest

I'd be in favour of tech being applied but probably in limited circumstances (e.g. only when there is clear vision from a side on angle). In practice that would mean typically trys scored close to the sideline. I think any use beyond that would open a can of worms and too much whinging.

    2020 R4 Sat - Eels 19-16 Sea Eagles @ Bankwest

I feel for the refs on this one.. I'd bet that 90% of people seeing that in fast motion would declare it was forward. What's the solution to what has eternally be an issue? Forward passes are difficult to rule on. Do we introduce video decisions on forward passes in try scoring situations...

    News Coronavirus and NRL

As I see it, step 1 was getting the game back. Step 2 is some fans can attend. Steps 3 and 4 would be more and more fans get to come in. I imagine steps 3 and 4 would be a month or two away. A positive and important step towards normality

    George Williams Appreciation Thread

Aren't we all getting a little excited over 1 game? He was brilliant and whilst I didnt see his R1 and R2 games, I didnt hear any of this applause

    Question on Peter V'landys

I haven't followed the latest convo on here too closely but taking your parents/sole income providers to court (as I saw suggested somewhere) is not necessarily the smartest thing to do when you cant provide for yourself and you'd be screwed long term without them. Clearly the NRL does not have...

News Josh Reynolds DV accusation (charges dropped 26/2/20)

Amazing. On her instagram account (story) you apparently have waves of support coming in for her from not only friends but randoms. She couldn't answer half the questions on that interview, most of which were very simple questions only a liar could not answer.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I think a lot of the previous opposition was around the fact it was a relatively new stadium being demolished that was hardly used. Probably easier to promote small stadiums that feel closer to the community and less corporate. Having said that, yes, I'd find it hard getting traction on this in...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

20,000 I think would be a good spot to be in. Hopefully we can get some traction on this.... but I'm not sure its palatable at all right now for government to be talking about diverting funds towards new stadiums

I think this is pretty much it. The alternative is way worse. Yet to see a better solution.

    Watching NRL without crowds

So Ch9 and Fox argued no crowd would mean less TV viewers. Record breaking viewership last night: https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/05/29/1.3-million-reasons-to-smile-nrl-return-most-watched-since-2014/?utm_source=NRLFBContent&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=NetworkContent

I'll be disappointed it isn't realistic enough next round to boo Matt Lodge when he gets the ball

    One Ref

Give it a few weeks and teams will be exploiting this somehow, and people will again blame the NRL refereeing circus. I thought the 6 again thing worked well but I dont see any strong rationale as to how one referee itself speeds up the game on a BAU basis

    Fox virtual audio

Can we get a poll running on this? Keen to see if people are for or against as a %. Personally, I feel like it's a big shock to the general fan base. Lots of people against it. But I feel like it does enhance the experience. Watching round 2 with no crowd noise had a pretty big negative impact...

Because it sends a message that drug cheating in some circumstances is ok. It is never ok. Once you start being soft on punishment on younger players, you're basically giving some allowance for it. Pretty simple

Nitpicking here, but surely the ban would commence from about now. He'll have missed the entire preseason and would have to prove himself in the lower grades when his ban is finished. Ain't no one going to have that sort of match fitness to barge into first grade after a 4 year layoff. The more...
