    Yeah I think GC probably need a few more seasons together and a little more class in the spine before they can be true threats in the competition. Finding the quality in the spine automatically becomes harder when one of your backrowers is getting paid $1 million a season though!

    I have no doubt Cordner will probably be back later in the season and once they get Verrils back they will have a bit more quality in that 9 position, Keary being out is the main issue for them for sure.

    Yeah I’d say the top 4 probably won’t be anyone outside of us, Souths, Melbourne, Parra and Canberra at this point. Roosters the other threat but Keary is too much of a loss for them to compete against the big teams now I think. They will still have no problem with the lower teams on the ladder...

    But to worry us or say Melbourne or Souths in the premiership? I don’t see them as a threat at all in that regards, I’d have Titans and a full strength Newcastle as scarier propositions than the Sharks still and then the obviously 5 teams above them also.

    The team won’t change, we are 4-0 to start the season and have only conceded three tries so far - including two games conceding no tries and a win against the reigning premiers. Only changes will be forced through injury and suspension which we don’t seem to have any new worries with that.

    The fact that they went back a whole set to penalise us for it was so ridiculous, I hope this isn’t a new trend going forward and was more the case of them trying to make sure we don’t win the game by 60+.

    Shout out to Moses Leota for a huge performance last night. Harder to look good now that Yeo, JFH and Kikau are usually pretty consistent with outstanding performances but damn the man was running like he had to go through a brick wall every time he carried the ball. Thoroughly deserved his try!
