    Yep outside of the Warriors and Titans game all the games pretty much went as expected in terms of the bookies/favouritism - I was surprised at the amount of people that went for the Dogs over the Knights!

    I wonder if the Doggies are having a weekly strategic meeting on ways they can attempt to get Matt Burton to the club early. First it was the sponsor, now it’s the halfback, next week the mascot maybe?

    This is honestly laughable, after one game they are talking about a player who plays for a different team it’s desperation station for them it seems. I’ve changed my mind I think we win by 50 lol

    Yeah as long as we don’t show up expecting the win without having to put in the effort then we will do it comfortably I think. No doubt Barrett will have his team fired up for this game but the talent in our roster far outweighs anything they can put onto the field.

    I thought that for Kikau last night too, at one point I didn’t expect to see him back either but I think for a bigger boy like him they would want to get a bit more of the match fitness under his belt.

    I thought that was interesting too, no reports of any injury as of yet so maybe he felt comfortable enough in the position we were in to get May as many minutes in at the hooker role as possible if that’s where he plans to mostly use him this season.

    Just because he didn’t score doesn’t mean that he barely touched it, off the top of my head he got put into touch twice right near the line and also put in two nice little kicks for himself in that right corner. Regardless of who plays on the right we are always going to be more left side...

    It’s impossible to answer that as we weren’t playing the Storm or the Roosters, we were playing the Cowboys. The game would have been completely different if the opponent was different.

    This is exactly right - add in Liam Martin dropping the ball with the line wide open and the two disallowed tries for Momo and To’o and we weren’t far off even looking at 50+. I dare say if this game wasn’t a first out hit up we probably do hit that type of score line.

    I really liked what I saw from Momo, besides the drop coming out of our own area in the first half I thought he had plenty of solid moments in both attack and defence. No way will he get dropped in four weeks time for Naden if he continues with games like tonight.

    Nothing to complain about from that as a round 1 performance, usual rustiness in attack that most teams will have and also managed to score 24 points still - but I have to say our defence is so damn good. We look so solid in that area of the game all across the park.
