    We did miss him but we also learnt that Gids isn't the answer either. Bennett is no dope, he will see what's going on with Gids and at some point he will need to make a tough call.

    Shame really because these are the types of games we really need to win and therefore be up for. Bennett must be as perplexed as we all are, the team is so variable in its application, home and away.

    Bennett has a tough decision with Kids, he isn't the best hooker, fullback or likely half in the club but Bennett needs to find a spot for him due to his status within the club. Managing this aspect will require all Bennetts skill.

    I love watching the bloke play, he is excitement personified most weeks, but you do have to wonder about the net effect of his play vs. mcmanus's net effect. I suspect that McManus has a better for and against each year for less than half the price.
