    Injury update

I hope that NRL.com is just useless and unaware of Aikens/Luai playing FB because this is what they wrote: With Tyrone Peachey set to return from Origin duty for Penrith's clash with Cronulla next Friday, coach Anthony Griffin could use the NSW utility at the back or shuffle his back line to...

    Injury update

Luai apparently hasn't played FB since ISP in 2017 while Aekins has been there all year barring one match so he may be the more likely option if Griffin has a brain and doesn't just go with Whare.

    Injury update

I hope you're wrong but Whare did go to FB when DWZ went off in the Warriors' game with the injury.

    Round 17 V Warriors

Luai was brilliant and is very strong in defence, just want to see how he goes against better defensive sides, when his running game and stepping game isn't as successful. His kicking game was solid tonight but he will definitely improve there. I think we rest Maloney next week with Cleary and...

    Jarome Luai

Cleary replaces Maloney as our organising half when he leaves. We have to make it clear to Luai that he is our first pick five-eighth once Maloney goes and it is up to him whether he will wait it out... unfortunately I doubt he will but we have to wait and see.

    Round 17 V Warriors

we can definitely match them up front if we are good enough - that is the key
  7. PenrithPanther45

    Round 17 V Warriors

I think it is partially because he has his hands on the ball less with Maloney demanding it more. His running game in particular has gone missing. Either that or other teams are reading it well and it is predictable now.

    Round 17 V Warriors

Watched highlights of that game last night to make myself feel better.

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

Taylor has consistently led the comp for try-assists despite playing for one of the worst teams in the comp. I definitely rate him
  10. PenrithPanther45

    Round 17 V Warriors

He kicked goals in NYC and ISP - not sure percentage or anything but he was striking them well on the video on the Panthers website from today.

    Anthony Griffin

Exactly why I was confused originally. Chammas is a reliable writer

    Anthony Griffin

Griffin may be on the way out very soon... https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/07/02/penrith-panthers-undertake-mid-season-review-of-football-operations/

    Round 17 V Warriors

I am not saying he should be moved. I do agree he should stay put for the reasons you have just made. Dallin still runs hard and at least gives us much-needed experience.

    Round 17 V Warriors

I think most people want him out of there also so he can replace Phillips or Crichton on the wing.

    2018 R17 Fri - Panthers 36-4 Warriors @ Panthers

Warriors by at least 14. Happy to go into a game with very little expectations though.

    Round 16 Vs Manly

Very lucky to only get a fine
  17. PenrithPanther45

    Round 16 Vs Manly

Manly got a scrum on their own 30 and Christian Crichton turned to the crowd and raise his arms trying to rev them up. No one did anything.

    Round 16 Vs Manly

God he's a Penrith fan. That's a very harsh headline. Can tell he's working for the Tele. I understood why Cleary did it - it is a split decision thing and DCE may have scored if he didn't. He'll learn from it regardless but chances are we lose that game anyway the way we were playing.
  19. PenrithPanther45

    Round 16 Vs Manly

The mismatch in the spine is going to be ugly next week. Only way we win is if our forward pack can really stand up, which is a chance. DWZ, Luai, May, Katoa vs RTS, Green, Johnson, Luke

    Round 16 Vs Manly

Agree that giving Aekins a crack next week would be good but can't see it happening. Given the injuries we've had I can't see Hook making too many unforced changes that may disrupt fluency.
