Obviously great news. New coach and Captain tied down to lead us into the next chapter of the clubs history.

Might be a little cynical of me but anyone else get the vibe this might be the club dropping some good news before some inevitable bad news?
I don't think the club will see Brown moving on as particularly bad news given his asking price. I'd rather spend the $1m on 2 good players (probably from Penrith) who are on the up.

Regardless of what he is being offered management aren’t exactly going to be jumping for joy that he is leaving.

I think they are 100% doing the right thing not raising their offer btw. Doesn’t mean it won’t suck that he goes.

Dylbags has his flaws for sure but it still won’t be easy trying to find someone who is at his level to replace him.

Great news and an absolute endorsement of the new regime
Will Dyl sign on or leave …. I hope he stays but a clear line has been set. Mitch is our man and Dyl if you want to be part of our revolution then get on board or f**k off … Josh Lyn looks the goods to me

Interesting listening to Paul Kent’s new podcast that had the two Elias’s as guests .

tbis was done before Moses signed and Benny saying how happy Mitch has been and Kent talking up how the players are learning .

great news on how the club is travelling with Ryles

Yeh I think the point is that you can buy an NRL-competentn 5/8th for quite a bit less than what Dylan is on (or get lucky and develop one), and spend any money saved at hooker, and if needed a fullback (either the one we've got or someone else)

Is it really bad news if Dylan pisses off

What has the bloke done for Parramatta that makes him so special.

He signs a 9 year contract with at least 2 PO's that gives himself the opportunity to milk the joint dry.

6 months after signing that contract he then gets himself pissed during the bye round turning up to the Sheaf in Double Bay off his head gets himself locked up and suspended for 7 games which was the death-knell for that season.

The following year his halves partner goes down and the season turns to ruins.

Then 18 months later post the arrest he wants a f**king upgrade and has done nothing since the arrest to warrant it

Like get f**ked Dylan

I am sorry the bloke is the biggest piece of garbage to run out for the joint in the past 20 years

He has already milked probably 3-4mill off the joint. And what has he delivered???

Other then bad press

It amazes me people like Gronk still want to defend the bloke.

The race to sign Parramatta Eels half Dylan Brown has exploded with reports two NRL clubs have tabled monster $13 million offers.

According to CODE Sports, a second unnamed club had joined the Newcastle Knights in offering Brown a 10-year deal worth $1.3m per season — yet the new club has threatened to pull its offer if it is publicly named.

So the media is happy to leak everything about our club, but will protect this club ?
Destabilising our club is good for business.

I think our negotiations with Moses and offering him more money to remove player options under the new coach show who they truly see as a key part of the future.
Offering him more money is the same as if he had activated the option. It's the opposite of removing it.
The club under Ryles has refused to do this with Brown. My gut tells me he isn’t rated as much as the last coach did.
Not offering Brown more money means we are happy for him to activate the first option and keep the second.

Beach in his first public address since succeeding previous chairman McElduff, added: There are 3 additional points I’d like to make more broadly in relation to POs
“The 1st point is we haven’t entered into a player contract that has an option for about 2 years; May 23 was the last time we entered into a contract with a player option.
“Point 2, since that time we’ve signed or retained 22 to 24 players since [then] without issuing POs.
3rd, we will not be issuing POs going forward

how many times does it need to be said
