Yass! So good to see the premiers in action again. Been way too long time since Round 6 in Melbourne.

Unfortunately for Capewell, who has been in deserving form, I think last week highlighted our need for another big body on the bench rotation. Assuming injuries not a concern for any squad member listed, Latimore might be considered unlucky to not get the nod.

    Emergency signing

Wado. K-Flan. I also remember Gal playing 5/8 one time I went to Brookie and we did the Hartleys over in a comeback win. Glorious.

Sitting in the Chook pen? With Uncle Nick & Mrs Guerra? Next to my Hartley loving pops? You are think I'd pass up that opportunity?? 'Course I'm repping BW&B!

    Racist taunt from QLD pub.

Point well made. Apology offered, offending post removed. Hotel should make some symbolic gesture to confirm the authenticity of their retraction, such as financial support for an established indigenous organisation. Staff member responsible should be dismissed. But please steer clear of...

    Emergency signing

Maybe not as exciting as Segue, but still a warm & apparently capable body. Given the circumstances, I'd say a timely initiated emergency failsafe. Well played Sharks.

Anybody making the trek to Gosford? My old boy lives up that way so I'm heading up now to go with him. He's Manly. For sure I'm gonna cop a load of shyte for last week's shellacking. Sitting in Chook box with sister and her mate who is Guerra's missus. Sister also Chooks. We gotta win or...

    Opposition watch

Storm are the 2017 benchmark so far. Not sure about Smith's injury, which would diminish them considerably, but Bellamy has very tight systems to slot a replacement in and let Cronk, etc pick up any creative slack. 2016 GF loss adds extra motivation. Roosters another threat. Pearce 2017 form...

Hartley' s after Lyall Gorman !!

Awesome job Lyall. But nowhere near finished. Not even B2B yet, let alone the three-peat. Can't imagine a smart cookie like Lyall bothering to make his next move a lateral shuffle to the Beagles.

    Defence

All about attitude, commitment, teamwork & belief. Yesterday it was an embarrassment. Manly made us look like a gaggle of high school cock-snaps. Premierships are built on defence. Last season we had it. This season? Forgetaboutit... Flanno & leadership group need to have a word with...

    Just end it

One game/season played the week after the GF. Rewards players in better performing clubs. Train on squads for others. Doesn't interfere with main comp. Acts as a selection trial for any following international matches.

What's worse than having 4 hookers?

Nu Brown til Segue is fixed up. Bad luck on the timing for Morts. In hindsight never should have let him leave, but the club can't read the future and I wouldn't have expected them to get play it out any different than they have.

    Feefs extends

What's happened to the Sharks?? Loved them since '67, but (finally) now run like we're a winning club #Gorman #Flanno

    Le deuxième origin jeu

I reckon they could do worse than get Johns somehow involved in the NSW coaching set-up. Reads the game. Probably not right for the week-in/week-out of club coaching, but if they're grooming Freddie as the heir apparent I'd like to see Joey as his no. 2

Side to play those Filthy f**king Sea Eagles

Morts and Capes played too damn well to deserve being dropped. But if we run out 1-17 we're dropping Lats which leaves Heighno as the third prop rotation. Good problem to have. Basically - Heighno takes the Latimore/Taga/front-rower benchie 14, Boogs is Boogs 15, Capewell takes the...
