    Who will kick tomorrow?

The only positive to come out of '04 thus far has been goal kicking. Since Cleary's departure we have had problems but Sione has been surprisingly very good. With him not playing who will take over? Goal Kicks 1. Martin - if injuries allow him to 2. Webb - watch the clock 3. Jones -...

    Ben Lythe

Interesting to see that the ex Warrior, Widnes and Mt Albert half is now playing for the Mahurangi RU club in Walkworth where he now lives. Shame to see players like him 'lost' to RL. Shame as Hibiscus Coast is only 20 minutes away.

    Ali

Good to see that Ali has signed with Leeds. Having lived in the city for a few years it is not too bad a place to live. Interestingly the club is also aligned to the Tykes RU club. A few years ago Wendall Sailor played some RU whilst at the Rhinos. Good luck Ali!

    The happy hooker

Former Cowboy Paul Dezolt will make his debut for the Warriors against his former club, Nth Qld this weekend. This has come as a result of injuries to PJ Marsh, Monty Betham and now Tevita Latu. This will be his chance to really stick it up his old club.

    Crowd Prediction

With all of the recent negative publicity coming out of the Warrior's camp together with their dismal performances year to date and the dodgy weather how many people do you think will be at Ericsson today? On the other hand there is no other football on in Auckland today (ok - pukekohe) and...

Now that Ali's gone who should the club buy?

Everybody has been fairly emotional about Ali's departure of late. Now that it has been confirmed that he is going, who in your opinion should the Warriors target for next year? They may have a bit to spend as Ali was reported to be the 2nd highest player at the Warriors behind Stacey Jones...

Newcastle test match - a success or not?

What are your thoughts especially as the crowd at 21,000 was not too good? Should major tests be reserved for Sydney or Brisbane? Did the game generate extra publicity due to the fact that it was held at Newcastle? Can coperates be accomodated at Newcastle ? If so who cares?

Graham Lowe's thoughts on Kiwi Aussies.

Graham Lowe has come out and urged the NZRL to stop 'dredging up Aussie kids to play for NZ' such as Karmichael Hunt and Frank Pritchard. Previously players such as Tyran Smith, Cayless Bros, Richard Swainn and Tony Caroll played (or currently play) for NZ despite having been born or lived a...

    Bulldogs in Wellington

The crowds in Wellington have declined over the years and one would think that 2004 could be the worst crowd yet. The Warriors form thus far is shocking and the Bulldogs , despite good form on the field, have been in the media for all of the wrong reasons. This game is an important one if the...

    Goalkicking Update

This explains why Sione is kicking ATM Sione Faumuina will be the Warriors' goalkicker for up to a month despite the presence of sharp-shooters Brent Webb and Tony Martin. "Tony hurt his hip against St George Illawarra and every time he kicks it puts more pressure on him," coach Daniel...

We'll take the win but ...

That was ugly! Lucky we were playing a side such as MANLY (with respect) as a top side would have killed us. Heaps of mistakes, despite the conditions. Sione, Webb and L. Anderson made a few. Hame played really well as I always thought that we (RL) got the wrong brother. Why was T...

An article about your club from NZ

This appeared in the NZ Herald yesterday. On talkback radio today in NZ Peter Peters was interviewed. Much of what he said is written in nthe articvle below apart from one thing ... he said that when/if Jamie Lyons comes back to RL it could well be in a MANLY jersey due to his connection with...

    Maori TV

Today I tuned in my tv to the new Maori channel and watched a replay of the GB- NZ Woman's RL tets from LY. I remember the last Maori channel had good coverage of local RL. They also had features this afternoon on young Warrior players in the development squad. Worth tuning this station in...

    Swedish RL

The following article appeared in today's Sunday News (NZ) Pg. 28: "LEAGUE is set to hit Sweden. A Swedish Rugby League Association is being set up. Organisers have already advertised for coaches, players and administrators." Is this is a joke or is it serious? I have not heard anything...
