    It would have been a substantial improvement for its main tenant: womens cricket. If that was why they had wanted to fun it, I'd have been on board. But $11m for a NSW Cup side when the ground already more than meets the brief for that, nah. Waste of money.

    They’ve argued that Bellerive is too small in Tassie, it holds 19,500. I’m not too sure if you could increase Manuka to 20,000 with its footprint though

    I have a friend who works at treasury - she's been telling me for a while that this stadium has one of the worst cost/benefit analysis of a major works project she's seen in a very long time and that she wouldn't be surprised if it was axed (this was before it was scaled back).
