    Having a strong Bulldogs team does give the comp a different feeling given how popular they seem to be when they're going well. In the early 2000's it was the game I loved going to and their fans had/have a very distinct cultural flavour which helps them stand out.

    Whatever happens, please... for the love of god, give the team a locale/region identifier? No "The" or "Southern/Northern/Eastern". West Coast/South Island is fine, but honestly those vague compass directions are terrible.
