If Folau makes it in the AFL

Excellent post. As a supporter of a small Victorian AFL club, I'm very much in two minds about this. Anyway, the history of the Swans and the Brisbane Bears/Lions shows the AFL will happily rort the salary cap (and more) to try and make/keep their expansion sides successful. There's is no way...

    Waldron an AFL/Union plant?

I'd add that AFL recognise the same principle (team in hostile territory) which is why they simply give Sydney a bigger salary cap.

    Waldron an AFL/Union plant?

Seriously dudes, this is the wildest sh*t I've seen on an Internet forum and I've been on those Yank ones where they reckon lizardmen live in the centre of the Earth. Aye right, the AFL sent Waldron to the Storm in order to harm league. FFS. So did RL send Carlton's idiotic administrators to...

Gloves off in the playground battleground

Me and beaussie have crossed paths many times. They even had to make part of the Swans forum on BF private because I handed him his arse so many times they needed a private sook room.

Gloves off in the playground battleground

Taunts aside that post sums the difference between the codes up well. RL is a generally a sport people watch on TV, at home. AFL is far more of an event/attendance sport. People like to go to it, get a sense of event.

Gloves off in the playground battleground

I have been but I read the Melbourne papers every day online and never knew of Hindmarsh. Some of the other guys you'd mentioned Hayne etc I had. If I was cheeky I'd suggest that given you guys are always telling us RL is an international sport that's big in the UK I'd have heard of him over...

Gloves off in the playground battleground

Sheedy is a moron but I'd never heard of Hindmarsh and I'm a relatively clued up guy (he says). That's because as you say, RL gets stuff all coverage in Melbourne and Melbourne papers ... which I read as I'm based in the UK. One thing that's interesting is that in the Aussie bars one is forced...

Gloves off in the playground battleground

I'd agree with the first line, certainly.

Gloves off in the playground battleground

This is precisely it. Now when they pitch their deal, they can confidently say they've got the two missing pieces of the puzzle covered. The other thing to factor in is that the AFL will shamelessly rig the draw, draft, salary cap and so on to benefit these sides. They are already doing this...

Gloves off in the playground battleground

Hey RL types. Given I'm on your turf I'll be careful but retain my trademark frankness. As a North Melbourne supporter I have fairly recent experience with the AFL and its manipulative, deceptive and rather ubnlikeable ways. But at the same time, our experience showed that they can be beaten...
