    I've been watching rugby league since 1968 and the best centre pairing I have seen would have to be Mal Meninga and Gene Miles.

    I totally agree. The circus that is Golden Point only came about after the 2002 State of Origin series when it was one game each and a draw. This meant that Queensland were deemed to have retained the State of Origin shield because they won the 2001 series. What a screamfest we had then...

    Unusual nicknames

    I knew twin brothers many years ago, who played a different footy code, and their nicknames were: Shark - because he wouldn't shout in a shark attack, and Crime - because crime doesn't pay. They were definitely identical twins, being cut from the same cloth.

    And let's have the big blokes playing 70-80 minutes per game instead of going off the field after 15-20 minutes because they're tired, and then coming back on after they've had a little nap. ;-)
