    2023 NRLWA Season

Still only 5 clubs in first grade this year. Disappointing It looks like overall there will be more teams with a couple of the third grade clubs also having a reserve grade side, plus an under 19 comp this year.

All the players not required by the NRL side are generally available for the captains run, either Friday or Saturday depending on the game.

Western Clydesdale’s have an affiliation with the Bulldogs but don’t get any players.

    18th club, whose next?

WA supplied 1 to the QCup side and BMD Cup side last year. So it’s certainly not impossible.

You don’t know what I’d like, I’ve been to Port Moresby. A mate of mine has plenty of coaching experience there as well, I wouldn’t live there but I can understand why the NRL would go after government money. I also believe that if you put PNG and WA in at the same time, more NRL players would...

They still played 7 seasons of junior grades in WA, Kalyn ponga also born in WA, Kevin Proctor lived in WA for 3 years when he was a kid. Then going back a few years there was Darren Waters at the Raiders, Jarrod Millar who also played for the Reds. Just imagine what they could produce if they...

His list of WA players is wrong anyway. There’s also Royce Hunt, Jackson Topine, Waqa Bake, Josh Rogers, Ruben and Kennedy Cherrington, Adam Quinlan, Destiny Brill. Then you have Daniel Holdsworth, Bronx and Bryson Goodwin who played juniors in WA as well.

How many players did Union have in the 90s, I’m betting it has grown since they got a pathway.

The same grant everyone else gets and then the owners will have to chip in like all the other clubs do.

Build it and they will come. If theres no supply, you can’t build demand

    18th club, whose next?

Yeah, it’s not like governments to exaggerate. Why did you argue against something pedantic and not about the pathways, surely you can make up some reason.

    18th club, whose next?

There are 9 pathways in Queensland and 1 in WA. Do you think more opportunities will lead to more players and there is no way there are at least 1k female players, 500 maybe.

No shit Sherlock, what do you think happens in Perth.

Using your logic Super Rugby should be massive. Plenty of Kiwis and Polynesians in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

If only that was the case, he said he doesn’t drink. He’s a a flog of the highest order but you blokes engage with him and the other idiot. The expansion part of this forum used to be reasonable but f**k me it’s changed.

Don’t worry, I just googled and there are 8 fairly current former Nerang players that I saw

    18th club, whose next?

Serious question, how is there only 2 from Nerang in the last 30 years? The North Beach club have had 3 in the last 30 years themselves.
