Totally agree mate and that’s why the game needs to invest more into the junior setups and programs of the PNG hunters, kaiviti silktails and Pacifique Treize teams.
That is up to the International rugby league not the NRL, why should the NRL invest into grassroots rugby league in PNG and continue to ignore Country Rugby League in both NSW and QLD and grassroots rugby league in Australia.

Redirecting tax cuts away from people earning 185k plus pa towards those hit by the cost of living crisis
T

That is what International Test Matches are for, it is not the NRLs responsibility to grow rugby league in PNG and other foreign Countries.
Nz warriors in the nrl and their impact on the kiwi test side and the number of Kiwi nrl players produced

They still played 7 seasons of junior grades in WA, Kalyn ponga also born in WA, Kevin Proctor lived in WA for 3 years when he was a kid.
Then going back a few years there was Darren Waters at the Raiders, Jarrod Millar who also played for the Reds.
Just imagine what they could produce if they had a team.
The arguments for Perth are based on supposition and hypotheticals.

What we know for a fact is Brisbane 3 will provide more players, more revemue from football operations and better television ratings than a team from Perth. On every metric that counts Perth is light years behind. You and the soapdodger want the NRL to use affirmative action to parachute a team in Perth, but whinge when the same concept is used for team from PNG.

Because the NRL would and does benefit immensely from a player developed from say PNG, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands etc lighting up the competition and putting bums on seats and getting more eyes on TVs and more clicks on social media etc.

look at the bigger picture mate.

You don’t know what I’d like, I’ve been to Port Moresby. A mate of mine has plenty of coaching experience there as well, I wouldn’t live there but I can understand why the NRL would go after government money. I also believe that if you put PNG and WA in at the same time, more NRL players would come out of WA.

Literally none of the above are facts

Ea
Just imagine the lunacy of sending 600 million to an NRL team in PNG right now..
Tell me exactly how they pitch this to voters... they won't even try.
It was never going to happen.
Sure that’s why you keep posting on this thread cause it’s dead lmao

have the courage of your convictions

You are demanding a team in your suburb otherwise you won't support one. But Perth fans should be required to support one across the other side of the country.

When you look up hypocrite in the dictionary, there is just a picture of you.
Funny thing is he’s already said he won’t support the firehawks because he doesn’t like the name lol. He’s a f**k wit who supports cowboys but has never been to see them at home. His opinions are irrelevant

I don't doubt that Port Moresby has a lot of barriers to overcome and will require assistance for many decades to work. The Port Moresby Vipers struggled in the Queensland Cup in 1996-97 due to these hurdles.

However, if we're going to write off Port Moresby due to its flaws then we have to be consistent and do the same with Perth. The pro-Perth camp are quick to highlight the weaknesses of Port Moresby, but won't address the issues with Perth.

But this can't be true. The know all from Perth said funding has been cut
funding has been cut, every year compared to 2019. Be Interesting to see what 2023 is when annual report comes out.

If they are claiming they are going to spend 15% that’s currently around $90mill, 2022 they funded it $70mill. let’s see if it’s really at 15% this year or not.

Only someone with brain damage would compare Port Moresby to an Australian Capital city.

All of your opinions on rugby league in Brisbane and Sydney are irrelevant because you don't know anything about the landscape. Everything you said about the Dolphins turned out to be wrong. You'll never live that down.

Why would I need to travel to Townsville to watch a game?

That makes no sense and is just snobbery from a wanker who cannot read and write at a satisfactory level.

I'm not in a position to travel around the country. Too many health problems and commitments. You sound like a big kid.

If you're going to b pedantic, the Goodwin brothers are from NSW. They moved to Perth when his brother played for the Reds.

Shane Wright grew up in rural Queensland.
And how many of the Christchurch players were born, grew up and played all jnr RL there? I suspect not many.

fyi WA has more RL clubs than Canterbury.
