    2025 Crowd Watch

Good way to piss off all the members who have bought the tickets

    2025 Crowd Watch

Bulldogs have never played at the new Allianz so think it should go close to selling out. Excluding scg/SFS members

    2025 Crowd Watch

Surely the AFL wouldn't agree to that

    2025 Crowd Watch

NSW government are the only ones that could get the clubs to move to the bigger stadiums. If sharks were offered $500k a game guaranteed plus membership & corporate income at Allianz they'd be there full-time tomorrow. Not likely to happen.

Is it time to relocate the following……

Sharks will never relocate whilst member owned. They would need to go broke. Get bailed out by private owners who then sell/move it. Privately owned Teams are far more vulnerable to the Owners deciding to move. Think Manly is most likely as the only privately owned Sydney Team. Apart from them...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Earliest any work could start at Accor would be October 27 after rwc. Wonder if they could stage a total rebuild to allow it to stay open like what happened with the SCG stand rebuild

    2025 Crowd Watch

The fans that currently go to sharks games won't travel. But other sharks fans who can't get a seat at Shark Park would go to one or two games at Allianz each year.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Unfortunately don't think there is any alternatives to Accor for the Bulldogs. If we can become a top 4 team and stay there for the next five years, the average crowd should be over 30k. I wonder if/when Accor is finally replaced if there is another location in the precinct where they can...

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

The other income stream for Fox/Dazn from buying sports rights, is the Clubs/Pubs subscribing. Not sure if still the case but they used to charge based off the number of pokie machines

    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Believe the Hotel is part of a strata, along with the leagues club. So the sharks wouldn't have that to sell. Think they could only sell the Leagues Club, Stadium or the investment property.

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

Assuming the acquisition goes through. It will be interesting what changes are made prior to the rights being renewed or lost. - watch NRL (& AFL) you would think makes sense to have these offered on their main platform - do they sell the legacy set top business off - newscorp employees on...

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

If Sky low ball the NRL, it may be a good chance to trial going direct with Watch NRL in NZ. Surely there is a NEP equivalent who would produce the 12 warriors games at a competitive price.

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

Hopefully if it does happen. They partner with Lebanese Rugby League in some way.

    2025 Ashes Tour

Probably too late for 2025. But in the future. ARLC should insist that instead of the Team missing Pacific Championships for a tour. It is a tri nations with France. Assuming third test becomes the final. It is only a combined two extra games against France. 2027 - Eng, FRA highest finishing...

    Pacific Championships 2024

Not sure if Allianz would be a good fit for this game. The concern would be if the Stadium members aren't interested, the crowd would be similar to Parramatta at capacity. Accor may be the better option.

2024 TV and Streaming Ratings Discussion

It seems that a difference between the UK and Australia (or maybe it's just BBC vs nine) is that they like the afternoon timeslot. Rather than nighttime. I wonder if next year vs Australia they would play at midday. Depending on the week this would mean 10pm or 11pm in Sydney. Surely it would be...

    Pacific Championships 2024

I know it doesn't fit the Pacific name. But bringing in, say France & Lebanon. And having two comps of four teams would have been much better

    The Case for Adelaide.....

Under your "genuine junior catchment" category I would include Fiji. I can't see the Government ever doing what they are doing in PNG in Fiji. But a Australian based Team focused on providing pathways for Fiji could work. Unfortunately I just can't see a suitable stadium ever being built in...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I think the impact of the NRL owning the Quest there is overstated. The investment is not necessarily relying on the Sharks playing there full time. It's less than a 100 rooms and serviced apartments, so more focused on longer stays.
