    Fitzy's league Sledge

I have to admit reading FitzMctool's concession the Melbourne Rebels are in deep shyte and it's sayonara bro gave me a feeling of karma. Why? Because this drop kick spent plenty of his journalistic days predicting the demise of the Storm and their relocation to the NSW Central Coast. Well there...

    18th club, whose next?

I'm just backing the club over the numbers of players and interest in the Shire . Showing it is a strong rl area.

    18th club, whose next?

Never suggested it was. My point based on PR 's original comment about Cronulla's only 5,400 juniors. FWIW In fact I remember there were surveys in this country as to the numbers of people interested in a sport( they showed %) in states .Very interested, interest, token interest, no interest etc.

    18th club, whose next?

You brought up the 5,400 using the term only, you got the response . The area is pulling their weight with juniors. When you have other rl areas in Sydney with far less juniors, I'm stating the obvious something's amiss.

    18th club, whose next?

We are talking actual players/people , on that basis 5,400 juniors the 2nd most in Sydney is more than pulling their weight. IOW RL is more ingrained in the Shire's populace. If that % was involved in other Sydney areas we'd be laughing. Some of their actual numbers are very small. PR brought up...

    18th club, whose next?

Out of a population of as at 2022 : 231,273 That's a far higher % of the population involved in rl juniors than any NRL club. 2.33% Perth would kill to get even .5% of their 2.14m people(10,700 juniors),so your puerile attempt stating there's only 5,400 juniors in Cronulla region looks...

    Relocate the Sharks to Perth

And yet the Shire has 2nd most juniors in Sydney town. Better to be surrounded by water than telegraph poles. And a huge park with critters in it. They actually fill the stadium, which will have its capacity lifted this year when the retail/club building is complete.Fills sponsorship .Has...

    The Las Vegas Thread

You cite one example about the League world cup from FitzSimons.I can tell you almost without exception he has bagged the RLWC either because the players are mainly involved in the ARL/NRL, the game is played in only a few countries, regular negativity when incomes to internationals ,would not...

    The Las Vegas Thread

That's correct Webster protested when the NRL decided to return serve after Union grabbed the young Rooster's back by suggesting they will look at Union ranks. Subsequently the Roosters grabbed a union player whose name has too many letters for me. It would be akin to getting Peter Fizzberg to...

If there isn't a representation of players from Easter Island and castaways from the Galapagos Islands , I'm not interested in a Pacific side.

    18th club, whose next?

Pure supposition. FWIW the NRL have (as part of their investment strategy to have assets in times of economic downturns)purchased a brand new hotel right next door to Shark Park development. Revolving around accommodation. And guess who will utilise the accommodation during the winter months in...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

The NRL's job is the final piece of the cake. The bid has to be sustainable and having a brand new stadium on offer in the bid ,no AFL or NRL would refuse that in a singular bid. Who requested the new stadium? And having an AFL aligned Govt prepared to spend such a large sum is a no...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I'm responding in kind to PR ,who is comparing the way the Tasmanian bidders/govt did it . I know what the AFL does because they have a damn side more influence with state govt than the NRL does. And that sure as hell helps.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Well FFS get your mob together over in the West and as a precursor demand the WA Govt gives you a huge grant toward a bright shiny new 25K seat stadium, because Perth is many times bigger than Hobart. Then when you get the OK, send a delegation over to your nemesis Pedro V'L ,to demand the NRL...

    18th club, whose next?

It ain't going to happen champ.Live with it. Ground capacity increases once development finishes next year. And that's just the starting point long term.
