You guys were much better, the calls didn't help but you guys were awesome in defence.

I think realistically we need to have a bit of luck (well we obviously need Manly and Melbourne to win) and have Herbert to come back to have any hope. Justin Carney would be nice as well. How can anyone be put out for a season standing in a rabbit hole ??????

The sharks out played the raiders tonight. We kept a high scoring team to ten points thats a great effort imho

I called Tongue a dog because he stayed down. I can't stand it. Peek was bleeding pretty heavy from that hit but still it was no penalty. I hate that stuff but still if the guys shocked or hurt its fine but don't give a f**king penalty. The thing about Tongue that pissed me off is he is a legit tough guy and has proven it time and time again. I don't understand how that love tap kept him down.

How is it even humanly possible for the video ref to make mistakes.

They come up with mistakes week in week out. There are so many 50-50 calls, that sending anything to the video for "certainty" as play unfolds is a joke.

They'd be better off just leaving it like it was - in-goal ref at each end to help out, all rulings come down to the one guy inthe middle, who the players would learn to respect the humanity and get on with the game minus the whinging, and whose performance is accountable to the referees panel (ie get dropped if you stuff up too much).

Only use the video for match review purposes and judiciary evidence. That's all it's good for imo.

I thought the hit did rattle Tongue. He reacted upon impact. I have never seen him dive before, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. Of course I am biased.

You'd like it better if opposition sides emulated the Raider's tissue thin, touch football like defence wouldn't you.

The Raiders are a inexperienced side with potential, but they were taught a lesson in semi final football by a superior Sharks side.

Misi was shaked up by that close fisted hit by Best and Peek is a tough nut and was busted open. I don't think any incident should of been a penalty but geeze it was hard to cop seeing a tough guy like tongue get hit stay down then run the next set at half... If the bloke can play with a busted rib cage you telling me a slap is going to knock him down?

Its just laughable, I don't want to take anything away from Shark supporters because they deserve all the success they get. It just is a bit of a joke when Dane Tilse didn't even move his arm and gets penalised against him.

Contact with the head, I think a penalty is justified, as it was in the Best and Gallen penalties.

That call didn't change the game anyway.

What about the Sharks goal line defence? How about the tries? Pretty good free flowing attack from a side that has been labelled mind numbingly boring.

The ref is crap I agree, I think he gave Souths a 11-1 penalty count agianst the Sharks earlier this year.

Better? Thats debatable, the scoreline suggests it yes.

Did the ref cost us? No, stiff calls all over the shop, but with a defensive effort like that, we didnt deserve it, good sides dont let stiff calls tear them apart, we did and the sharks punished us for it.

I hate to be negative against the lads, but we are just a playmaker down. Herbert compliments Campese.

Oh agree, you guys have done well to make it this far this seasdon, what with the injury list and other factors. And yes, the quality in the 17 wasn't there on the park at the business end. It's a shame when a team is simply fodder, but it anything that comparison just shows how good the Raiders have been when they've had guys on deck.

You can take more away from this season (even if it's over and Saints get up) than my team can!

The Sharks have been on the end of a 11-1 first half penatly count from Maxwell and still beat Souths.
