So it looks like Prince misses out again? The politics of Rugby League Ay?

As a NSW Titans fan, there is some positive in it, but really what else does he have to do? Hopefully it doesn't dent his confidence.

The Dogs were abysmal against Penrith, you think they'll play alot better this week but that wouldn't be hard considering they were a park team in disguise on saturday. Still Titans have Prince therefore they will win with Prince keen to show up the selectors. Titans by 18

We'll have SBW and possibly Roberts back... we'll probably be missing Patten and El Masri though. Hoping to see Nanai and possibly Fawcett selected but Holdsworth looks like he's keeping the #7

Dogs side up. All things expected I think, if Patten doesn't pull through I'm interested to see who the custodian will be...

Only thing working in our favour here is that the Gold Coast have never beaten the Bulldogs in the history of Rugby League in Australia :D

This is one of those games I believe "we should win". In continues the season trend, if we are to move from pretenders to contenders, we need to pick up these type of games.

I have followed the game for 20 odd years and one thing I know is this: Canterbury, not matter who is in the side, are a team you just hate playing when their backs are against the wall. They love it. That's my fear here.

Scott Prince missed selection and it will be interesting to see how he responds. He has two options:

1) Pout about it and play as Matt Bowen did a couple of seasons back and throw away his great start to the season or

2) Make a statement in this game and continue to pleas his case on the field in the event of another injury or loss of form from one of those ahead of him.

We welcome back Luke Bailey - a huge plus for us.

no doubt gold caost will win confortably, bulldogs comming of a hiding last week, and altho SBW is back and not tired i dont think he will save them this time, gold coast r awesome at home, and prince hasn't been taken by origion and he will want to prove to selectors what they missed out on, and gold caosts ranks havent been cut into as well, which means their winning team will be on the pitch, they will win by 16.

I hear Groom will make his debut tomorrow as someone is out injured, looking forward to watching.

I never count the Bulldogs out, they can definately bounce back. Titans backline isn't looking as good as it has in passed weeks either.
I think the Titans will win in a close, fairly low scoring game though.

OUT:
Ben Roberts

IN:
Aaron Groom
Joe Williams

Reason for 1 out, 2 in - Groom is sick and Williams is on standby for him.

Kinda glad we bought Williams now.

Just lucky Danny isn't in first grade... 3/17 chance of passing it to Williams :sarcasm:

Some little facts...

2 games and it's 2-0 to the 'Dogs. No matches have been played at Skilled Park as yet.
The Bulldogs have never lost or drawn to any Gold Coast NSWRL/ARL/NRL side.
The Gold Coast Titans have never lost at Skilled Park.

Their matches last year were both convincing victories to the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium and Carrara Stadium.

Last years match at Carrara produced a emphatic 36-12 victory to the Bulldogs.

Why isn't he playing?

Gold Coast are without Origin rep Anthony Laffranchi and injured fullback Preston Campbell (ankle, back next week). They're also missing Chris Walker (ankle, season), Jordan Atkins (knee, Round 12) and Mat Rogers (suspended, returning next week).
The Bulldogs are in dire straits in terms of player depth and that's in spite of having no rep commitments - they are without Ben Roberts (hamstring, week to week), Hazem El Masri (hamstring, next week), Kane Cleal (groin, next week), Daryl Millard (knee, Round 12), Andrew Emelio (knee, indefinite), Willie Tonga (shoulder, season and off to NQ), Justin Tsoulos (shoulder, indefinite) and Brent Crisp (back, Round 17). Luke Patten is also a week to week proposition but should be fine for tonight while Aaron Groom is battling a virus to be fit for tonight. New signing Joe Williams is on standby.
