I wouldn't have a problem if Hodges was sent.

If he had held on and driven Riddell into the ground, he would've been sent, no doubt. Once Riddell was in the air, Hodges let go and it was momentum that cause him to land on his head. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making excuses for Hodges as what he did was incredibly stupid and he will be gone for a few weeks for it, but it wasn't a send off offence.

If Riddell had had the ball in his hands, or even if Hodges had perhaps been remotely committed to the tackle before he let go of it, I might agree with you.

However Hodges only moved in to make the tackle after riddell had well and truly let go of the ball. Send off for sure in my books.

Stupidity occurs with a lack of awareness, Hodges knew exactly what he was doing, he has a history of being a grub.
He shouldve been sent, Parra should be playing 12 men and the Broncs should have 4 points less at HT than they currently do.
