Is there something wrong with roosters right side of the field or something?

Poor 2nd half from the Roosters and poor refereeing in general :|

least I got my tip right

didn't see that... the Roosters were getting away with murder in the play the ball. The penalties dried up in the second half and they stopped scoring points, simple as that.

The better team lost, simple.

Bronco's had so many decisions go their way:

- the disallowed try, no way was that obstruction
- Tonie Carroll's try coming straight after Steve Michaels incorrectly playing the ball
- Anasta being penalized for that 'high' tackle on Robinson
- Mason's huge charge leaving the Bronco's team offside, but weren't penalized
- the ball being raked from Sa when he was over the line
- Thaiday losing the ball on the kickoff return, a VERY dubious stripping call

...yet they still only won by 6. Roosters pack was still far better, their backs showed just as much spark but lacked a bit of fluency, especially with handling, & they did admittedly try a bit too much. But the better team lost. Jarrod Maxwell, & the video ref, should have a long hard look at themselves, maybe double time for Maxwell because his hairstyle is a deadset shocker too.

- didn't see it
- Fair enough
- There were 2 or 3 other tackles liek that in the game which were also penalised, both sides. Stupid penalties but in no way was it favouring brisbane
- It's called giving the advantage
- you're allowed to rake it when the play is in the ingoal
- dubious? The Roosters player had his hand on the ball, he clearly raked it

The strange thing about that no-try was that it will be given every other time it's scored. Anyway this is league I guess, you take the good calls with the bad. Next week is vs Storm, which should be good. :p

Roosters were back to there worst of 2006 and 7 in terms of ball control, which killed them in the second half.

All we want from referees is consistency and that wasn't provided tonight in terms of high tackles or knock ons.

The first no try decision for obstruction explains why players don't respect Clarke.

Hunt was trying to shoulder charge Anasta who slipped. That doesn't explain why he raised and cocked his elbow jest before impact. The one view that showed the preparation was from the left of Anasta and only shown once by nine. They then kept repeating the right back view. You wonder how they decide which replays to keep showing.

LOL! Yeah, the roosters certainly got dudded by the ref, but they weren't the better team

Good tough match, Rooster a little unlucky in this one, but thats the way it goes. I can still remember mini scoring off a pass that was about 15 meteres forward one year, so thems the breaks.

Thought Mason was the Roosters best, Hannant impressed me most from the broncos, but Wallace and Sa I though played well also.

I will wait with interest to see how many of the chook fans call for Hunts head after all their bleating about souths fans last round...

I'm waiting for Souths fans to call Karmichael a grub, too.

You were robbed of a try; no doubt about it. But the rest of the incidents listed were pretty much standard 50-50 decisions that go both ways every week (aside from the 4th one which, as renouf explained, was perfectly legitimate).

The better team won, btw. Things were fairly even throughout, but your lot just lacked the composure to make the most of their periods of dominance. The better team won, but it isn't simple.

I disagree that the better team won. The Roosters made far more breaks and created more chances.

The ref won it for the Broncos....simple as that. Most disgracefully one sided display I have seen in many a year.

I agree with all that.

There was nothing in the tackle, Hunt went for a sholder and Anasta was falling... i hope Hunt gets off because he coodnt really pull out.

A cocked elbow shows a fair bit of intent to me....

Anasta's head dropped by 6 inches at best. The contact would have been high no matter what.

Fittler and Anasta both had no concerns over the high shoulder charge that knocked the five-eighth out briefly, with Anasta's nose still bleeding more than half an hour after the game.

"I cannot remember it, but everyone told me I slipped into it a bit," said Anasta.

"(Hunt) was very apologetic and I have no worries with (the tackle) at all.

"All I know is I have a lot of respect for him for apologising."

It is illegal to shoulder someone on the head, and Hunt also raised his elbow.

I know tensions are high over the loss but looking at the positives geez I thought Anasta was brave to play on. This article just enhances my respect towards the Roosters club.

Pretty easy to look at the positives when its your team given the red carpet ride to the win....
