Panthers have had the wood on the Tigers in recent years and should win here, despite their shocking home record.

Panthers by 8.

We should be able to win this game, but our home record doesn't give me too much confidence. I'm picking Panthers by 8, with Frank Pritchard having another massive game.

If he doesn't play... Tigers will win.

oh dear, we're at home. But if boys continue to 'ignore' Elliot and throw the ball around like last week, we might discover that we can actually play :sarcasm:
Still, Tigers are a threat if they play like they did yesterday, so I don't think there will be too much in it.

Should be an exciting game. I feel that Penrith should beat them in the forwards; the backs for both sides are young but very good. Because of the Penrith hometown hoodoo, and the fact that (as a Warrior fan) I don't want to be too far outside the top-8...Tigers by 4.

Should be an absolute cracker !!

If our forwards can give us some service like last weekend, especially with Payten back, then i think we will be hard to beat.

Tigers by 12

Probably match of the round, both coming off good performances last week and both fighting for a spot in the bottom half of the top 8.

In saying that, I think the Tigers will streak away with it in the second half. Tigers by 24.

If people talk up the tigers too much then penrith will win. If people talk up the panthers too much then tigers will win.

The Panthers is making a call to the fans...

Jul 23 - Panthers captain Petero Civoniceva is spearheading a “call to arms” for Panther fans and is looking to boost attendance at this week’s game.

“We need all Panther fans to come down to CUA Stadium on Saturday to cheer on the team,” he said. “This weeks game is critical to us maintaining our spot in the top eight, we’re hoping for a good showing from the fans.”

The Panthers have snuck into the top eight after a horror start to the year, on the back of some good away wins. Acknowledging their poor record at home, the team are trying new ways to boost their performance in front of their fans.

“It’s important for us to reward the effort that our fans go to in attending home games. This year we haven’t been too successful in doing that, but the boys are aware that now as the season gets to the business end, home wins will play a big part in our push for the semi finals.

“We need the fans to be vocal and loud, but more importantly, we need to have a lot more of them there. Last weeks game showed that we are contenders and we have a great opportunity this week when we take on the Tigers.”

The club has two fantastic offers to not only drive attendance to the game but also getting every one fitted out with Panthers merchandise.

1. The first 100 people to purchase $50.00 worth of Panthers merchandise from the Panthers Merchandise Store (located in the Panthers car park) will receive a free general admission ticket;

2. You can now purchase general admission tickets from the Panthers Merchandise store located in the Panthers Car Park. By simply purchasing your general admission tickets from the merchandise store you will be entitled to a 15% discount off any merchandise you buy form the Store on the day.

Can I just say I think that is a horrible attempt by the club to get people to the game. IMO it's more likely to encourage people who were going to go to the game anyway to spen money on merchandise rather than actually encourage people who might not otherwise have gone to get off their arses and go.

Wont be a good crowd. Will be a cold, perhaps raining, miserable night and people may stay home and keep so they can keep an eye on the bledisloe as well.
