Its funny but when we beat you guys in round two it was such a terrible dire game that everyone was writing our sides off as last and second last. I have a feeling its going to be a more entertaining game this time around.

What a great game. The scoreline is harsh on Canberra, a couple of their passes stick and it would've gone right down to the wire. After playing Cronulla last week who try to stifle any bit of life out of any contest it's refreshing to come up against a side that actually wants to play positive football.

God that hurt.

Back to earth with a dull thud...We blew so many opportunities.

The Raiders just lacked a cool head to throw the last pass for a few tries today.

Put Lockyer in the Raiders side and I reckon the scores would've been reversed.

Put a player like Lockyer in the Raiders side and I think they'd be in the top 4 competing for the comp. They've got the building blocks for a great side it's just a shame they can't attract any big name players to finish it off.

Lockyer? Isn't he supposed to be past it and retired by now? :sarcasm:

Loved that last try

Carney wouldn't have made much difference out there today, hes not a class player... yet

What was the score when Herbert stuffed up that break. I would have expected Carney to have done a lot better with that. While that wouldn't have been a 30 point turnaround it would have at least made the game a bit closer.

If we want to challenge we need Todd Carney in the side. We will still make the 8 without him I would think, unless this destroys the teams confidence, but I fear if we lose Carney we put the sides progress back 2-3 years.

This week has signalled that the likes of raiders, panthers, warriors or whoever makes the last couple of places in the 8 will most likely just be making up the numbers and giving the top sides a week off. The Broncos are still a big chance of a home final. They look ominous.

Dont know they did lose to the bulldogs 26-18 , if lockyer is out the broncos are just making the numbers

Name those sides who they have beaten AT FULL STRENGTH..apart from Manly they have not beaten anyone that is going to contest the title, and they struggle to finish games off. No chance, pretenders.

so going on your logic
who has the broncos beaten against a team at full strength who are a threat no one

Its the broncos who are pretenders without lockyer , even with lockyer as the bulldogs shown.

The broncos do not have the back up players like the dragons do , as the broncos shown when they lost to the sharks , dragons and drew with penrith with out thier star player the broncos will be making up the numbers

2 things, I'm aware this an 'internet' forum. But is it too much to ask that you use proper grammar and construct sentences that actually make sense?

Secondly, I've browsed through some of your posts and you MUST be taking the piss.

I'm not going to have a crack at the Dragons. They're going good, they're playing well, but for god sake, get off your high horse, grow some common sense and just stop being a wanker.

Looks who's talking

Prove how am i wrong, using lockyerno1 logic the broncos are pretenders, they havent beaten a full strength team who is a threat, and the broncos were the last team to lose while at full strength against a depleted bulldogs team.

Im not saying the broncos arent a threat , im just showing the comment what lockyerno1 made was wrong

blah blah, first game back for most of our star players, the loss to the bulldogs can be excused. Brisbane are building towards something and IF they remain injury free will cause some problems come finals time.
