2007 the first game was Souths 26 Sharks 16 and this year the Sharks won that one 12-10, been some close ones over the past few years and this one will be again considering the sharks like low scoring games. We certainly don't have the brains to put a big score on.

Unless we can restrict the bunnies to minus 6 I can't see us winning by that margin.

NRL Preview and Tips - Round 22
BY Paul Zines

Paul Gallen called it the “gutsiest” win he has been involved in. Even though it wasn’t a high quality game, we need more of these battles to bring excitement back to our game. With 18,500 spectators packing Toyota Stadium, it showed how much better it is when games are played at Suburban grounds.

Half-back Brett Kimmorley scored a late try then kicked a field goal to clinch a 13-12 win for the home-side over their neighbours. I don’t think the Sharks realize how much of a loss he will be next year as he brings so much experience and composure to the young side.

As they continue to win very close and low-scoring affairs, many critics call them ‘boring’. However, they are doing whatever it takes to win their first premiership. Unfortunately against the top teams you cannot play this brand of footy, which was illustrated a few weeks ago against Manly. South’s defensive effort was strong with an ‘up and in’ style putting pressure on the Warriors.

David Kidwell was back to his best as he helped the Bunnies to a two point victory. Ben Lowe is ruled out with a knee injury with Jamie Simpson returning to play on the wing and Fetuli Talanoa moving to the centres. I think the Sharks are more desperate for the victory and it will depend on Souths’ attitude as to how close the contest will be.

Late Scratchings

South Sydney reserve Shannon McPherson (calf) is out and reserve Manase Manuokafoa (ankle) is in severe doubt. "Eddy Pettybourne is on standby," said coach Jason Taylor. Although named in jersey 18, McPherson would have played if fit. Cronulla have installed Paul Stephenson as 18th man but otherwise report no changes following a week in camp in Kiama.
