I saw Toovey and Kearns before the game, got their autographs and had a little chat with Tooves.

Slater is in fine form. Every time he touches the ball it turns to gold.

Love it.

And people say the Raiders fans can whinge. f**k me. We don't have anything on Manly fans.

That was one of the most disgusting displays of 'fair judgment' I have ever seen from a referee. The 50-50's were more like 90-10 and I counted in the first 15 minutes; 3 penalties to the storm that weren't penalties. Whilst also watching the storm get away with holding down players too long and not being penalised, knocking the ball on and not playing the ball on the mark.

Manly were beaten in that game in the first 20 minutes, but they weren't beaten by skill - they were simply not given a fair bite at the cherry from the first whistle. Tony Archer is a S$%t referee, and should not be presiding over 1st grade. I have seen better performances from rookies for god sake.

Thats my rant... I feel better now :)

Won't change the fact that your team is a pack of overated nancyboys.

Kearns did comment in the carpark behind the tennis courts when I saw him there but that's all, Kearns and Tooves were having a good talk before the game.

Storm were very strong last night....Inglis looks like he is back to his old form with the fend coming back to haunt Manly.

IMO the Manly forwards could not handle the tempo of the game and you have to question Orford's ploy of grubbering the ball into touch time and time again to slow play down ??.

Chambers is starting to gain confidence and Quinn has to be a consideration for SOO - very consistent and extremely strong when finishing with multiple defenders on him.

:( pretty disappointed with the Sea Eagles, expected alot more of them after the last couple of weeks. Oh well. Went to the game too, not a bad crowd..just wish they knew when a dominant and surrender tackle happened. Not surprising some of the comments being thrown at the Manly players...lol but I do wonder if these spectators really know anything about football at all

My Maroon and White goggled assessment....

1 - Stewart - Was not that bad without being spectacular. Let down by Orfords lack of creativity on the night.

2 - Bani - Getting better and better. Strong and Fast. Never stopped trying and did alot of hard yards to get of our danger area.

3 - Bell - sh*t, past it. Get Matai or even Vae back ASAP.

4 - Lyon - Limited oppurtunities before he was injured. Showed class when he was involved. Another player let doen by Garden Gnome

5 - Robertson - Average game. Not good or bad. Felt sorry for him when Falou necked him over the sideline.

6- Williamson - Cops alot of flak. Was always there to defend the tryline. I thought he was good. Made eighty odd metres as well. Tried putting his hand up tonight. All Heart.

7 - Garden Gnome - No creativity, cant break the line, cant put ball runners through holes. Our should be halfback is killing it in England.

8 - King - Always hits it up hard. Playing more minutes this year. Made 32 tackles. Not a bad effort from the big unit.

9 - Ballin - Wasnt his best game. Hard for him to do well when we are losing the rucking battle. Bench him next week. Scare that the position is up for grabs will do him well.

10 - Kite - One of our best forwards. Like King he is playing more minutes. Working hard, we need to get Perry back and have Kite running wider. Would make an excellent second rower.

11 - Watmough - Our most potent attacking weapon. Always gives 110%. Bleeds maroon and white just like our other 2nd rower. Good game. Will be missed. I said when he got injured that could well be any hope of a good season down the drain.

12 - Glenn Stewart - Always there in D. No stupid passes tonight which was good. Made 40 tackles. One of the few that I noticed giving a bit of niggle to Slater and Crocker. Brotherly love?

13 - Menzies - Done a bit of D. Was a watched man. No impact in attack because of it.

15 - Hall - Great first game back when he was on the field. How does Bryant keep him in reggies? Hall runs hard and hits hard. Keep him there!

16 - Cuthbertson - Looked great in attack. Made metres. Showed more skill than Orford! Cuthbo for number 7?

17 - Bryant - Sooner Perry gets back the better. Bryant couldnt penetrate a wet paper bag.

18 - L'Estrange - Impressive. Starting hooker next week. We look better when he is on. All season. Defends well also. Has a kicking game!

For someone who seems to dislike Storm so much, you seem to have no problem going to their games, going to their fan days, wearing Storm shirts, meeting their players...

Manly have done this to themselves, letting Monahan go was always a bad idea, if anything they should have let Orford go.

From what I see, they don't have a 5/8 and that's hurting them in attack. They have one of the best centres in the game out wide, but they don't know how to feed him the ball at the right time. It's down to Des Hasler's style of play, he plays with 4 big forwards on the bench which isn't usually the best idea these days.

Considering it is THE ONLY LEAGUE thing to do around here, what do you expect? Gotta make use of the chances one gets.

I think every one is being harsh on manly, in my opinion the first 15 minutes the game was great, very close untill the reff farked up our momentum. then on in Storm dominated the game. Dont have your heads down, melbourne had the longer turn around and home advantage and reff advantage. when matai and perry come back we will be playing very well. Also what is the word on Watmough, how long is he out for?

Not sure on Choco yet. Ankle ligament injuries will need scans to see the extent of the damage. I reckon it may be Grade 2..5-6 weeks..hopefully less

Watmough is a bit of a liability. How many penalties did he give away last night?
