Storm will win.

Knights wont embarrass themselves though.

Should be a good game.

We will have Buderus and Simpson back which should be a huge boost, hopefully it won't be anything like last year :(

2005- Melbourne 48-10 @ Olympic
2006- Melbourne 52-6 @ Olympic
2007- Melbourne 44-0 @ Olympic

We'll definetely improve on those results and i'm sure we'll be competitive in this game. Melbourne will have to work VERY HARD to get those two points. It's unlikely but i'll back us in this game with a fair few Melbourne players backing up from the test.

I'd say the thing that will work very well in the Knights favour for this match is virtually 7 or 8 players from the Storm side backing up from the Test on FN vs one player from the Knights. Also, with the return of Buderus, Simpson and possibly Dureau, we'll virtually have our full-strength side for this match, providing Gidley doesn't get injured in the Test. Either way, I don't think the Knights will get annihilated or hammered, like they have in their last 3 visits to Olympic Park. I am tipping a close game, and won't be surprised if the Knights do pull off an upset here.

I don't expect to win, but we will have easily our best lineup of the year so far on the park.

Will be MASSIVE if we win, Melbourne coming off the BYE, heaps of players backing up from Aus game, good chance to take em down.

I'm expecting a loss this week. Another performance the fans can be proud of is all I'm hoping for.

Yeah im not expecting a win either.. scary thing is that Brisbane and Manly have gone down there and lost by 20 and 22 respectively..

A respectable performance will be satisfying I think..

keep the chin up boys! i hope the teams way of thinking is more in line with my post than it is with yours.

no seriously though... i'm not at all confidant... how could you be travelling down to melbourne? i think we've got a bloody good shot at it though with a good chunk of melbourne backing up from the test and with key personnel returning to the field for us.

I dont see why we would be viewed as favourites for this game with what
players the Storm have backing up.

Newcastle have been great, won a good one last week.

I reckon this will be a cracker.

Unless they get injured it's probably an advantage to the Storm. Players regularly play their best club football backing up from rep games. Admittedly, given the size of the Melbourne contingency, the chance of a scratching or two is quite high. And it does disrupt a club's preparation.

Maybe I'm looking at this too pessimistically, or just don't want to get carried away. I know we've been good for the first 8 weeks, even succeeded everyone's expectations, but it just concerns me that our "best" wins this year have come at home (or in the Bluetongue case, near enough to home). Our away games we've struggled early and come back into the game late. If we do that this week, although there is no doubt we are getting better every week, we'll be chasing 20+ points. It just slightly concerns me that the Storm haven't hit anywhere near top gear just yet and teams generally, for whatever reason, find top form against us.
