How many players will the Storm loose through Origin duty for next week?

It could be 11:

Qld - Slater, Folau, Inglis, Cronk?, Kaufusi?, Smith, Johnson, Crocker.
NSW - Quinn?, White, Hoffman.
I'd say from that list
Qld - Cronk? and Kaufusi?
NSW - White

Will miss out.

Quinn really is in rare from. :D

I'd also say this'll really test our depth but since we are only playing the dragons...... ;-)

The knights defended incredible but wouldn't have been so under pressure all the time if their forwards won them some field position. It was as if they were told not to get over the advantage line so they could get defense practice.

High quality game though. I'd say it's the match of the year so far.

Haha. If any coach would try it, it's Smith. Didn't he take a player off and leave Parramatta short-handed for the last 5-10 minutes of a game back in 2001, just so they'd be ready for it?

Was at the game last night, down near the tryline we were hammering in the first-half, and was very impressed with the Knights defence.

Though I will say our attack is becoming quite predictable, if you can keep us out for the first 4 tackles, where we display little creativity, all you have to do is prepare yourself for the cross field kick. Billy Slater chiming in on the second man play is becoming easier to read for the defences and when he does it down the left hand side all he does is crowd Inglis and Hoffman, I think he would be better off running a line either side of Cooper just so the defence doent slide across so much.

I Wonder if the Knights would consider swapping Jarrod Mullen for Cooper Cronk, I love the kids game.

hard to get over the advantage line when you are playing a team who are over it in defence before the ball is in the dummy-half's hands....

Am I the only one who thought Cross was concussed by Slater hitting him in the back of the head? He looked to have all his faculties about him as he hit the ground. Dog act IMO.

Me and Skeepey boy don't see eye to eye on most issues, but this is one I'm going to agree with. Whether or not it was a deliberate act remains to be seen, but there did appear to be something going on.

We might have been on the good side of a penalty count, but if Newcastle got pinged for the number of times they were offside, it could have been worse!

As for the game, Newcastle defended with everything they had, very impressive. In the end, posession and field position had to tell, and they did.
I'm a bit confused by the no try ruling for obstruction against Jeremy Smith on the first one. The bloke who was 'obstructed' made the tackle... how then was he obstructed???

He took the only way out he had so he didnt have to make the call on the crockers "pass".

I cant believe how boringly obvious the storm are. Run the ball up, prey for a penalty and when we are anywhere near the 20m line bomb to the wings, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
