Warriors fans are very very confident... write us off at your peril, we didn't finish 4th out of sheer luck. Though judging by the crap we've been copping on LU for the last few weeks you would think so.

We aren't very very confident. The players are quietly confident; you have to be to win football games.

Fans are fans. For every Warrior fan who says we'll smash you guys, there will be one of you who will think that your mob got lucky by playing the 8th placed team.

It was always going to be a tough game anyway; the c**ks are a great side with players who have hurt the Warriors in the past; SKD and Anasta have scored hat-tricks at Mount Smart, Fitzgibbon carved us up in the 2002 GF, Amos Roberts in 2000 (debut) and 2004 (four tries), etc etc etc.

Pressure will probably be on us; some fans of the c**ks will say that they
have overachieved this season; well, the Warriors probably met expectations with a top-8 finish, and are about the stage where expectations on the whole for the season are met...but this is a prime opportunity for them.

Wade would be back, but heck, why tinker with a winning line-up (if we are to play you guys in the preliminary final)?

Will be a tough match either way.

Why tinker you ask? Probably because with Wade in your side i have no doubt you guys would of pwned the storm by 13+

Of course he would be back, Wade would've been in slightly better position for Cronk's 40/20, I doubt he would've (all but) made a hash of the bomb like Hohaia did, and he's hard runner at the line with the nose for the line...maybe he could've snuck over.

Anyway, I have to give credit to the Storm for their goal-line defence, superb as always, but the Warriors kept them out too, which deserves as many plaudits too.

The Warriors will probably take this out, being full of confidence and the Roosters down. However the Roosters need to do a few simple things to win:

1) Play for the full 80 minutes
2) Win the battle up front, and get to the kick
3) On the last tackle, run more
4) Include Kenny-Dowall for kicking to on the last tackle, being tall

If we do them, we should win.

They are confident because they beat the minor premiers and favourites to win the title.
And speaking about the Warriors most of this year they probably haven't been real confident a lot.

The Roosters finished 4th because of all the hard work put into games earlier in the year.
The recent run to the finals has been less than impressive.

i think the roosters will win
5 day turn around
lots of travelling (to melbourne and back)
flat after putting such a huge effort in beating the storm
every team (Except the dragons and roosters) has lost the next match after playing the storm

and with the return of amos, skd and maubs
i think it'll be enough to put them over

The result depends on which Warriors side turns up on the day, but I would have my money on the Warriors. I think they can improve on their performance last week.
