The fact that in the past three seasons we have played far better footy in the second-half of the season often leads us into believing that we will do the same again.

In the past three seasons, the improved second-half almost covers up the horror first-half of each season.

I was thinking tonight would be the game where we would turn the corner and start to launch ourselves towards the top 8.

First 10 minutes, we looked good, making offloads everywhere, getting second-phase possession. Yet we didn't have the confidence in your attack to take the tap after the penalty, instead opting for the 2. Now that '2' in the scorebook is looking small and insignificant.

Goal-line defence just doesn't fill me with confidence. The Knights had about two goal-line raids and the Tigers were incompetent...that's how we kept them to blot.

Just hope for some damage control second half.

All you have to do is compare the two teams and how they attack in the oppositions 20.

The Titans change angles, go wide to players running onto the ball, and have bodies in motion.

The Warriors give it to Price, Rapira and Luck hoping to barge over. Then when that doesn't work we put up a kick to Manu or in Hohaia's case show why he was dismissed by so many fans as a genuine half option.

Warriors are lucky to throw 1 or 2 genuine plays at a team during a set of six that starts in the opposition 20. Can't do that, it'll never work.

Don't even get me started on why Stacey is defending at right centre instead of his usual position. When you start shifting players out of position to compensate for them then that's when you f**k up your entire defensive structure.

Having said all that when the refs can't tell the difference between playing the ball and not playing at the ball followed by missing one of the most blatant forward passes you'll ever see then there's not much a team can do.

Still, sh*t teams tend to get sh*t luck.

Warriors score finally. Pretty simple try, and Hohaia shows why he should be in a position where he can support play and run the ball rather than trying to create.

As sh*t as the Warriors have been the score should be 16-10 or 16-12 if the refs weren't blind.

Ah well, the Warriors will have to add this one to the Dragons and Rabbits games where they had the better of field position/possession and yet still found a way to do SFA.

:lol::lol:

Decent refs and decent halves = the Warriors by 30. Instead it'll be the Titans by 30 and the Warriors again looking clueless.

Warriors' ineptitude there for all to see.

Titans missing five regulars and didn't play great by their own admission...Made plenty of errors, had flat patches.

Hohaia and Price were the only guys looking likely.

When you're going through a bad funk, you get sh*t luck, as evidenced by the intercept tries, try off a forward pass, try not awarded due to a forward pass etc. Then there is the unforced errors from our part and dropping the ball near the line.

Yikes.

Intercept tries weren't bad luck they were a result of having players who either shouldn't be playing (Jones) or players who are in the wrong positions (Hohaia).

Just logged on and really thought that Warriors would have exposed our perceived lack of size and depth... that was the Titans of old... not now.

Jones got into the clear and got cut down (age), lost the ball in a tackle near the line and threw intercept passes. The Little General would've scored the try with the pace he used to have, and he seldom threw intercept balls.

Witt only threw one intercept ball I think - against Souths in 2007.

Looks like the Warriors were once again garbage...how did the Warriors halves go ??.

1 intercept try each. Jones lost the ball inches before the line and twice got cut down from behind. Kicking game was useless from start to finish.

The usual hesitant, confused, devoid of ideas performance we've come to expect from the halves.

Hohaia looked great when running the ball with purpose but was abysmal when trying to create play.

Is it too early to make the call that the Titans have conquered their form slides from the previous two years?

Yes. They'll have to put in for a couple more weeks before and avoid any more injuries. The Titans were well below average but comfortably won because the Warriors were abysmal.

Against a good side the Titans would've been lapped by 30+ last night.

I think they'll make the 8, but they'll have to avoid injuries and play a hell of a lot better.
