can i just confirm that a few people here think a 30 metre cut out pass can 'float forward' because the passer has a lot of forward momentum? I know Soward is going okay at the moment but you'd have to be a freak to have any sort of go forward and throw it as far as he did.

Zappa was coming back from a foot injury yeah.

All i gotta says is f**k. We played stupid tonight...nothing in attack and defence was non exsitent. Dragons were far to good...played to our weaknesses (ie: chambers and tomane). Was good atmosphere at the game...but f**k it hurts more losing to the dragons.

still lol'ing at Turner getting run down by Creagh..

gutsy win by the Dragons; at half-time i wrote them off.. but usually when i'm confident that one team will win.. i get let down:oops:

what do you mean Dragon? I'm very happy you guys won yeah?

Will be interesting to see how the Dogs respond to last week's performance. Would it be a choke or are we just pretenders so it would be a run-of-the-mill loss?

Congrats to Dragons, the better side on the night. Doesn't help though when Hollywood Harrigan disallows a classic BOTD try to Tomane and Soward's pass to Sailor for his 2nd try being very dicey. Discipline also killed us tonight 6-3 penalty count to the Dragons which was justified.

I know, it's just not funny anymore. I posted something on another forum about the final forward pass and some tried to tell me that it wasn't forward. I reckon it was at least 3 metres forward, and possibly up to 5 metres forward. The way Inglis reacted to it said it all. Soward wasn't even travelling with that much speed to make it go as far forward as it did. A lot of passes go forwards, and the momentum rule makes them ok, but I don't even think Soward is making an effort to throw the ball "flat" at times.

f**k, that is pretty disgraceful from a Dragons supporter.

He dominated the contest.

I agree D.R

The bloke played on one leg and killed it last night.
His defense is also excellent.
People like to focus on G.I palming him off, but Soward held on....and made a better attempt at tackling Inglis than the fools in Origin did.

Jamie is a champion....and he has no case to answer for the alleged lashing out....please!!!!!

tomane no try decision was correct

it always been that rule where the touchline will take preference in a simultaneous put down for a try,

Saints defence won the match tonight, but having said that, huge improvement can be expected from both camps in the future.

Storm are no where near finished this this year and are likely to improve somewhat over the next few weeks. Saints too will need to improve if they are to beat the Storm again, possibly on a neutral ground. Manly and the Doggies, well, on there day can beat anyone and in my opinion, their days are coming. All four teams will be there when the whips are cracken and to single out one above the other, even after last nights glorious win, is dangerous.

Don't get me wrong, I honestly believe Saints will make the GF, but it is not cut and dried. There will be several nail biting contests to go.

As far as Dells two trys, watched them a few times and the ball definitely left Sowards hand in a backward motion, although may have travelled forward to Dell. Percetly OK and both were tries.

As far as Storms non try, nearly impossible to say, but would argue BOTD. I wonder if it was Saints and the influence of the huge crowd, if a try would have been awarded. All in all the better team won on the night, due mainly to Saints defence, although I was certainly biting my nails at half time.

As far as Sowards caution, well, it will be interesting to see what the judicary have to say on that one. He may well be in a little bit of trouble methinks.

My game of the year!!!!

And boy oh boy have i been looking forward to it

Heart says, Dragons will be just too dominating!!!

The only danger i see where the mexicans will get us will be up the middle, but only a slight advantage there to the storm, but everyone is crapping on about the manly game, but Wayne had a little word and the threat was gone in the second half.

Beau Scott will take care of Inglis, he wont let Inglis get outside of him and is probably the best one on one defender in the comp, i doubt Inglis will be able to fend him off too often.

Forwards: If we dont make the errors we did last week i cant see the storms forwards getting over our advantage line at all. Jeff "Crusher" Lima is the only decent player u got up front

Not many ppl have talked about

J Smith
Cooper
Nightingale
Prior
Paea

all being out

Most teams with 30% of their starting 17 out would be given no chance to beat a team like the storm. A tribute to Bennett to what he has done with the 30 odd blokes we have had play this season.

Adam "third man in" Blair:

I am so f**kin pissed this big cat isnt playing, i dont often wish harm to players but if Weyman broke his face into 3 pieces and as he was falling over he slipped and joined to Ciraldo/Rose club I wouldn't be able to stop laughing about it til November.

Saints are the real deal this season and the game is in our hands

the only way i see the Storm winning is if we dont turn up and Inglis gets MoM

Saints by 8

Sailor 1st try scorer

Creagh Last try scorer

Go you f**kin Dragons!!!

Freaky!!!

It cracks me up to read about people saying that a pass was thrown before the 10m line and caught after the 10m line therefore it's forward. I'm sick of going through the physics of it so I'll try another approach. What would be the ruling if the pass was caught immediately after leaving the hands of the passer? That's all that matters.
