Because it is solely because of poor refereeing decisions that we have been losing games... apart from the Roosters game of course... we haven't even been given a chance by the wankers in pink.

I'm getting sick of the NRL, and it's not because of the standard of play. As a Raiders supporter it's becoming so hard to watch because you know that the referee will, at some point in the match, come out with a f**king awful decision that would not have gone against any other team in the competition. There were awful decisions in our two wins as well, and quite frankly when you are on the receiving end EVERY SINGLE WEEK it becomes rather trying to enjoy the game.

I love rugby league, but I can barely watch the NRL because Robert Finch has turned the refereeing ranks into a Canberra-hating rabble.
  Deadset, do Canberra's losses EVER have anything to do with their inability to actually take their chances of winning the game when they arise?

Skeepes got as much right to post as the rest of us, but its solely because of his crusade that people here tar us with the same brush, and its giving me the f**king sh*ts.

Now you cant even mention a refereeing decision without being called a whinger.

So?Who cares?
its a f**king internet forum, what do you care what "blogger1234" has to say about raiders fans? As i said, tarring an entire group with the one brush because they disagree with the opinions of ONE man says more about them then it does about me or you. If it wasnt this, it would be something else, previous it was us over-rating juniors, when they turned out to be guns, it stopped, then over-rating tongue, when he wins captain of the year and lock of the year, it stops... they move on to something

as DiG would say, they are just "raider-hatin"
f**k em. We get screwed by the refs more then any other side in comp. It's already happened min twice this year. It'll happen again. Call it how you see it, dont bow to these knob heads because they cant handle a differing opinion

Victor, I believe the "Raiders Whingers" stereotype spawned following a number of incidents. From memory I became a subscriber back in 2005 when one of your fellow fans was in charge of writing the match reports. In one particular report this writer effectively gave the opposition zero credit and basically spent the entire time taking pity on the Raiders and criticising the referee for one 50/50 decision that didn't go your way. I had never come accross such an unprofessional article in my life and sadly it wasn't the last time this writer left a sour taste in my mouth.

At the end of the day, I thought the Zillman try was harsh BUT the Titans deserved the two points. On the other hand the Raiders should be proud of their boys and should look forward to next week. If they could take anything out of last season it was the knowledge that it's a long time until September and I believe the Raiders have the personnel to improve their position.

I think the biggest issue is that once a week there will be without fail 5 to 6 SHOCKING decisions from the refs through the round.

Refs make mistakes, they are humans, but it is the shockers that makes our game look like its being run by clowns.

Every team gets bad decisions going against them at some stages. What they don't do unlike the Raiders supporters is start clutching at some f*cked up conspiracy theory that the referees are out to get them. They fail to to take into account the drop balls, shoddy defence and poor last tackle options that would otherwise see them win regardless of a refs decision even if the scores are tied at the time with minutes left on the clock.

Next time you watch a game, take a mental note of how many wrong calls go against other teams or even the opposition that the Raiders are playing at the time. It would be roughly the same amount across the board.

Spike, stop making every thread about your hatred of Canberra. You hate the Raiders more than you like the Knights. Go seek psychological advice.

Can anyone say that the refs have been at an acceptable standard under Finch. They seem to be getting worse every year. The problem is that if your side wins you don't care and if you lose you are a whinger. At least Skeepe has a go even when the Raiders win and will mention non-Raiders games.

As I said I can understand the refs making mistakes. It is the shocking decisions that is the biggest worry for mine. The Smith sin-binning for example.

Defensive effort from both teams was great. I thought the only real difference between them was the class of Prince.

Was very pleased with our defence. I said it in another thread, it was the best defensive effort I have seen from a raiders side in 5 years. The titans had a lot more attacking opportunities than us as well.

Prince was dangerous all night and we defended against his kicking and passing game brilliantly. Very pleased.

It doesn't matter what standard they are, it's the same standard for every team even if that standard is sh*t. The Raiders aren't any more hard-done by referees than any other team, they just like to make out that they are because they can't bear to think that their team didn't play well enough to win.

You'll be hard pressed to find many posts from me about bagging refs win lose or draw and it's for the reason you stated, that they are human and make mistakes. I more pissed off about a player who drops a ball in an attacking position, a poor last tackle option or a player who has defence like a revolving door who let in a soft try than a poor refeering decision. It's something you have to take into account in any game where there is a possibility of human error.
