Yeah, the Dragons seem to have had Newcastle's measure over the years but most of those wins have been at Newcastle..

Infact, the last two home games the Dragons have hosted Newcastle...the Knights have won at WIN and Kogarah..

I can see why most will tip the Dragons .. but wouldnt be shocked to see Newcastle get the cash

This will be a tough one there is no doubt

Taia/Hilder will have to just about follow Creagh around all night in order to keep him quiet.

Pity Maddog and Wendell play on opposite sides. Im sure 1 will come looking for the other eventually though.

Heart says Dragons.
Head says Dragons except in true Dragons fashion, someone has to bring us down to earth and I'd rather it be Newcastle than in the ANZAC Day game.

Knights to win

Seems to me that the Dragons are living up the hype, have the attitude that they cant be beaten, all of a sudden premiership favourites...

Pretty soon they will crash back to earth... and the Knights could be the team to do it

Is it true Poore could be out?
Not what I've heard. I've heard he's sweet.

Weyman is a big out for us .. not sure why we've got Green and Thorby on an extended bench ahead of Merrin (apart from Merrin getting longer game time in the 20s for his development), but either way it's a net loss.

Still have good go forward in Poore, Saffy, Prior, Creagh, J Smith, Hunt though .. and we coped for a few weeks without Poore, so hopefully we can go OK for a week without Weyman!

Of all the teams we've played in the last month, I think Newcastle definitely has a playing style which is best suited to beating us.

Wouldn't be all too surprised if we lost - if this was a Nathan Brown-coached Dragons, we'd definitely get towelled on the back of a 4-win streak. Question is how we handle all the hype under Bennett ..

Best thing is probably that we're still not actually playing that well. It's just committed defence keeping us in matches.

Every interview with every player over the last month has said something along the lines of "we're taking it one game at a time", "we aren't getting ahead of ourselves", "it's a long season" etc etc.

If anything they're doing everything possible to talk down the hype. The media has jumped on the bandwagon, but none of the talk is coming from the team. They themselves are even saying they aren't playing that well and doing just enough to win games.

Reading macdougall comments the knights know they cant match the dragons in forward department and are trying to get the dragons to change thier play by playing more in the backs, even that wont help the knights ,the dragons will win

f**k no. Creagh running wide is the last thing the Knights want. The best thing for the Knights is to make it a forward battle up the middle.

What i meant by that was most Dragons fans think that.... You just have to look at most of the topics in your forums.. and judging by the posts we may as well hand over the trophy to the Dragons now...
I didn't realize our players posted on our forums. Pretty sure the fans aren't out there playing the game.

Should be good test for us.

I think we'll be the first team to match them in the forwards and that will slow Soward down if we can win that battle.

Dragons have more time to rest and prepare for this than we do.

I'll go with Dragons 17-10.

Strike one:

If you guys match us in the forwards, it wont be you matching us, it will be us falling to your level. No way can your forwards match us.

Strike two:

More time to rest???

doesn't mean anything, you have a 6 day turn around which is the norm in the NRL these days. (7 teams have the same turn around this week) Coaches work on a 6 day turn around as being the norm. If it affects you it will be because you are ill disciplined, unfit and have a sh*t coach. We had a 5 day turn around from a tough local derby to a flight up to brizzy and still came away with a comfortable win.

a 6 day turn around is no excuse.

Strike three:

You are a Knights fan.

"three strikes sean.... ur out!"
