We really should put 50 on the Cowboys, could have done something like that today if it wasn't for the brilliant first half defence of the Dragons.

If we hose the Cowgirls it sets up an interesting showdown in the final round. Then - best case scenario - we get the Dragons in the first week of the finals
and we win easy.

Great farkin' win. We can honestly win this premiership now, we have enough believe.

As has been said before, Merge are absolute pretenders. Rubbish team, will be dismantled easily in the finals just like last year. See you next year chokers (or possibly in the finals, where we will beat your sorry arses again)

Probably a bit rough to call them a rubbish team, but the second half was poor. Dragons have to lift their game.

Every team has a bogey team. Raiders have them too, it's called 'Everyone except the Dragons'.

Good win Raiders. Easily better today. You match up on us so well & have the size to get us.

Pressures back on now. We'll stand up this year.

lol

Dragons defence is resolute (well, not really in the 2nd half) but you have nothing in attack to worry teams in the finals. The grinding style of game won't work at the business end, you don't possess the likes of Slater, Inglis, Hayne etc to pull off individual brilliance to get you over the line

Fair enough.

Interesting ruling here.

He most definitely was tackled. Dragged to ground, ball carrying arm touched the ground.

He also most definitely reached out afterwards, and the only reason the ball got to the ground was because he reached out.

And yet, because he rolled onto his back, he is allowed to make a 2nd movement??

Doesn't seem consistent to me.

And don't give me that momentum bullsh*t. Carney got pinged (and rightfully) against the sharks for extending his arm after it touched the ground, even though there was still momentum in the tackle.

It was a textbook double movement as far as I'm concerned.

What confused me more was the penalty against Mogg in possession in the first half. Couldn't tell what that was for at the ground, everything looked fine.

Won't be too upset, we had a couple of decisions go our way too like that 40/20 Soward kicked. I was sitting right in line with the 20, and the kick clearly crossed past the 20.

Fantastic result, but what really counts is how we back it up next week.

Being a Raiders supporter would be like being a Black Caps (NZ) supporter in cricket. Look so promising now and then, getting fans hopes up, and then crashing when the pressure games are on.

Good luck against the Cowboys next week.

Btw, if this was a must win game for Dragons, you wouldn't have seen Smith and Scott sitting out. In Wayne we trust!!!

The thing is the last 7 games have been pressure games. We can't afford to drop one or we're goneskies.

It's the consistency that I think the Raiders fans are most excited about. TBH we aren't used to it. We've won 6 from the last 7 to save our season. Usually we rely on our home games to keep us in the finals race but this year we're scoring a fair few away wins too.

Hopefully they don't get complacent against the Cowboys.

Raiders would have preferred to play an weaker defensive team, to get thier +\- up

Any other team would have been beaten by 30-50 points with the amount of ball the raiders had

We would have preferred to play a weaker team? You don't say? Thanks for that insightful bit of commentary on what would help our for and against.
