What confused me more was the penalty against Mogg in possession in the first half. Couldn't tell what that was for at the ground, everything looked fine.

The refs always penalise the attacking team when the tackled player falls over in a quick play the ball - obviously its one of the indicators they are coached on. :roll: It was clearly a wrong decision but that seems to be the interpretation 90% of the time.

Couldn't agree more. We have no trouble beating top teams, the talent is certainly there and all Raiders fans know it. The problem is getting up for the easier games. It's all mental, I just hope this streak we have going will be enough to override the fact that we will go in heavy favourites.

No excuses. Canberra beat us with an excellent game plan based around keeping the ball in play as much as possible, waiting until we were buggered, and then tearing us a new one. They also met us toe-to-toe in the forwards, something very few teams have managed this year. Why the f**k Bennett refuses to adopt a similar plan with us I have no idea. It is the oldest trick in the rugby league book. Run the opposition around with second phase play, and the gaps will open up in a tiring defensive line.

Master stroke from Bennett. Keep the raiders alive and set up a do or die drag 'em out affair vs the broncos in round 26. We will be waiting for the winner and we'll be nice and fresh waiting for them at Kogarah. We'll probably rest some more players in the first semi like we did against the faders yesterday in a match that meant nothing to our position on the ladder.

Dragons defence is resolute (well, not really in the 2nd half) but you have nothing in attack to worry teams in the finals. The grinding style of game won't work at the business end, you don't possess the likes of Slater, Inglis, Hayne etc to pull off individual brilliance to get you over the line

None of them will be in this year's final's series ;-)

I actually think if you win your last 2 games, you might finish as high as 6th. Definitely don't think you'll finish 8th if you win both of your last 2 games.
I have a feeling you might put a cricket score on the Cows this weekend, which will help your for and against dramaticallly.

Exactly. This isn't like '03 or '08 where deep down I think we knew we weren't a chance to win it. This year is different... We fear no one. Admittedly it isn't the strongest competition, but we know we can beat anyone. It's an exciting period

Because if you lose one game you're a very realistic chance of missing out on the finals. Maybe I'm too used to being a Dragons fan, I've said lines like that way too often only to be disappointed ;-)

To be honest, if you get past this week you're in with a good chance in the finals, but many teams who have stepped up their game when playing us this year have looked flat the next week.

Good luck in the rest of your campaign though, I'd like to see the Raiders make it.
