IMO this game proved that for all the depth that the Titans have, they simply have an unhealthy reliance on Prince to lead the way.

Matt Rogers was a good player but not a gamebreaker and this bit them big time IMO.

There seemed to be little flair or creativity and when they were playing from behind then it took them out of their comfort zone and they had no ability to change their style.

I can't see them getting any better next year...don't get me wrong, a semi final is a good achievement but surely Cartwright will be wondering what he need's to do to go the next step.

If you were around these forums back in 04, and i was under a different alias. There were a number of Roosters fans who truly beleived they were still the defending premiers after the 03 GF loss and the panthers were not worthy winners. No other club has arrogant supporters like this...

Yes, I remember, and it wasn't just here....denial is a warm and fuzzy place to be. IIRC they invented themselves a new title....."benchmarks".

We have to take juniors from other places because our junior base is the smallest of any clubs, not for any fault of our own.

The fault is that you have an NRL team that is successful on the field using players sourced from other districts, because the district this team represents cannot produce its own players. A team based on weight of money. Just like the Melbourne Storm, Sydney and Brisbane AFL clubs. I understand these clubs have absolutely no choice in the matter, but its not hard to see why the Roosters in particular are despised by followers of clubs that run huge junior systems only to see cashed up Roosters talent scouts plunder their young players. There needs to be better protection afforded districts that support the grassroots of the game.

Funny as well, Prince and Rogers looked so confident and cocky on the footy show when Fitler was interviewing them about Pearce and Carney and both of them got severely outplayed.

Great Defence from the Roosters as well I thought. Preston looked to stiffle the Titans attack a little bit. Pearce is looking so confident in the team and around Carney

Roosters, great performance

Should be a Roosters v Tigers GF, Tigpies will be the only ones able to give them a real challenge like in the 2nd finals game

Great performance, against a team who fell to pieces in the 2nd half. Theyve now had 2 comfortable hitous in consecutive weeks, and are ripe for the picking next sunday... Whoever wins tonight are a
good chance of beating them, and you are a pompous f**khead....

Glad the Roosters won.

The Titans would have lost to the Dragons in the GF, the Roosters wont .

I thought the Titans did a good job on Carney. I bet they tonnes of video on him because their plan worked a treat, denying him space and making sure they weren't outnumbered each time he went wide.

Watching the game again this morning, our defence was epic. It won't be easy to repeat that effort but hopefully the boys back it up next week!

Ryles? Dragons fans loathed this guy and he was sent packing to Catalans in disgrace, we gave him a second chance.

Turn it up. Ryles was well loved by most Dragons fans. He did annoy us with his penchant for stupid offloads (which I noted last night he still has) and dumb penalties, but his defence and hard running has always been second to none. He's a gun player, but he was asking too much to stay on. Good luck to the Roosters for picking him up.
