a vid from the footy show looking inside the Roosters pre-game and featuring in-game reactions from Brian Smith during the Anzac Day Match earlier in the season against Illawarra.

Would be great to see another similar sort of thing from the GF and see how the Roosters mentality has changed to this point in the season from a time when they were still in the initial stages of implementing Smith's gameplan.

Mini and if there are any Roosters from the '03 GF,should do some reflecting on how they lost that game in regards to how they played in the wet.

Roosters will be advantaged with it being wet and that will help them contain any attack that the steelers can throw at them.

It would be in their best interests to get a huge lead going into half-time then play it in 10 minute segments while putting the Steelers in a precarious postilion of self doubt thus enabling the choke-hold while creating enough pressure to block the airway..and enabling a 32-18 win to the roosters...but only if they get to a great start within the first 20 minutes of the game.

If its still around evens with 20 to go in the second half..the Steelers will methodically and clinically carve out a win.

But all in all...I don't give a flying f**k who wins...as long as it a grand game befitting a grand final.

03 was a long time ago, the roosters team from then is completely different in almost every way. The only advice mini can add is 'wear your long studs today boys'. The team that throw the ball (roosters) are advantaged by wet weather? No. If it rains you play it tighter, something the dragons are experts at.

Really? I would think the dragons would be loving the weather, it really forces us to play their type of game.

Roosters earlier this year have shown that wet weather will not stop us - against the Warriors we dominated them with a slick attacking game in pouring rain....but couldn't actually take advantage of it and win the bloody game  But my point still stands - don't expect to see them go into their shell tonight.

How many times this year has the media built up a match based on how much our opponents like to throw the ball around and how our defence could struggle? If my memory serves, only Canberra (in the second half of both games) have had any actual success with the tactic.

Good luck to both sides and their supporters. This will be a cracking game and I can't wait.

Really hope the refs are consistent from second dot to siren and don't make any controversial decisions.

It will be a tight game and I think the Roosters need to score around 20/22 points to win.

Dragons 21-18.

I don't think wet-weather will make that much of a difference.

Pros & cons for both sides.

The wet could ruin Roosters expansive play. But could also f**k up Dragons disiplined style with errors.

Field is looking mostly ok so far.

On another note, I will be backing the Roosters, but I realised this morning that I haven't backed a winning team since the Manly/Bulldogs game in the last round of the regular season, so if you're the superstitious type of roosters fan this bodes poorly for you. Sorry.
