Actually, with the grand old tradition of quality half backs whom win most awards, why not celebrate the accolades of one of NQ's and Redferns favourite sons and name it the "Andrew Dunneman Medal for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence'.......................

We could do that but I just think that Hegs deserves recognition for everything he did for our great clubs. Maybe we could have the Shannon Hegarty medal for the player who wins man of the match in this fixture from now on.

great idea, we can give it to the winger who runs infield and leaves his wing open for easy tries, or to the player who crabs across field, or the one who drops it everytime he gets it:D:D

Michael Bani's gotta be the favourite, he's pretty much a carbon copy

Without Thurston it could've been an absolute carve-up.

With him, it will be a decent game. Hope we win..

Come on now lets not get silly about this. We might as well name it after David Thompson if we're gonna think like that.

I feel that the Shannon Hegarty shield should be played out between us two teams with the player of the match winning the chance to go to dinner with Hegs and spending 3 nights with him in the hotel of their choice anywhere in the world. I know I, along with many others would love to win that award.

Looking forward to this one. Souths to get off to an early lead, Cowboys to come back. Souths to score in the corner with 5 to go and hold on for the win.

Please please please please please please.....

You are right about Hegs AM. He did serve both teams well.

He served us well when he left to go to the Cowboys and he served the Cowboys well when he retired.

Rabbitohs as per program.

Cowboys changes: Michael Morgan out, 24. Grant Rovelli to 5/8th; Willie Mason to bench, Carl Webb starting in the backrow.

Why can't Tallis learn to speak objectively. He's a member of a media panel discussing tonights game, so he shouldn't be referring to Souths as "our" or "we". He does this every time on MNF and it really annoys me...

Is that a reference to Rovelli?

Nah, they don't have too many other options and I don't think Morgan is up for consecutive weaks of Rugby League, especially not against a giant Rabbitohs pack.

More into promoting Webb who hasn't played a 'good game' in at least 2 years.

Carl Webb - maybe if he lost 10 kilos and it was about five years ago...but just no.

How is this guy still playing first grade?
