Well that is unexpected. I was worrying about Lawrence running around our backrowers turned centres. So this is possibly a good thing.

Daniella offers just as much pace.

Beale returning from a knee injury is a concern for you guys though.

But he definately aint Chis Lawerence. Him in the centers was scary, now there is not much the tigers have from 1-5 apart from Lote

IMO the Tigers 6, 7 and 9 haven't been playing that well lately, so moving a centre into the 6 will cause them more problems. This has to play into Brisbane's hands..

The last time I can remember Chris Lawrence having a role in a backline play as 5/8th was against Penrith last year I believe - he took the ball from the scrum, ran around half the side, line break, ran 40 metres, then passed it to Peni Tagive to finish off.

Wouldn't mind some of that tomorrow night.

Seem to recall reading that Tigers record with Benji at 7 is pretty poor

Broncos still have a good team that will run out even without the Origin player, picking them by a few tonight

fitzy scored a try locking the scrum against canberra, does that mean we should name him in the 13 this week?

i know what your getting at and i remember that play, lawrence blitzed jennings with a dummy and pace. however one good set play from a scrum doesnt mean he is a play maker

I actually wasn't trying to justify the selection - was just reminiscing on what was a beautiful piece of play.

What a shock: a Channel 9 montage featuring the 15 NRL teams... What's that? 16 you say? Team from Canberra? Wouldn't know it watching 9.

Cant remember the last time Tigers played in front of 30k+. They will be pumped. Like little kids.

As I mentioned in another post, the Tigers have managed the highest home crowds in Sydney 4 of the last 5 years. In the past two years alone we have had crowds of 34k v Parramatta and 30k v Souths (x 2).

Broncos kick out on the full, the stand-in five-eighth Chris Lawrence scores.
