Hard to tip Dragons already have a big game win experience beating the Eels last week but theres obviously no way the Dogs are going to want to lose two in a row they will step up. Tipping purely ion home advantage here

very tough one to pick

Cooper possibly still out

No fien (we looked slick when he was on)

Centres and Hooker out we are gna struggle to get too many points.

Hopefully our defense will win us a few games til Stanley gets back, then he may be able to help in both parts.

Ill go dragons by 8.

Ennis(assuming he takes early guilty plea) being out certainly helps with the loss of Fien.

I think we'll handle the loss of Fien better than they will handle the loss of Ennis.

Saints in a close one, nervous already though. :(

PRIDDIS IN FOR FIEN FOR ROUND TWO CLASH

Tuesday, 16 March 2010
Dragons Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named Luke Priddis as a replacement for injured hooker Nathan Fien in the starting side for Friday night’s big clash against the Bulldogs at WIN Stadium Wollongong.
Fien suffered a broken fibula in the Dragons 18-12 win over the Eels last Friday, and will be replaced by Priddis, who showed good form in the Dragons three trial matches .
“It’s extremely disappointing for Fiensy, he is a great player and a great guy”, said Priddis. “Im looking forward to having a run on Friday night, especially at a packed WIN Stadium and against the Bulldogs who are always a tough prospect, no matter when or where you play them”.
Unavailable Dragons are: Matt Cooper (hamstring) Rnd3, Neville Costigan (shoulder) Rnd 4, Kyle Stanley (ankle) Rnd 6, Nathan Fien (leg) indefinite, Peni Tagive (ACL) indefinite

i'm surprised how many people have tipped saints, the fact of the matter is, the dogs were absolutely terrible for 65 minutes of that game, and finally when they showed urgency and attacking flair they were easily able to expose the Knights defense in the last period. Now if whoever is playing Hooker for the dogs clicks with kimmorley, i honestly think the dogs will do well. as for who will win, i can't call it way too close, but i'll say Dogs by 2 purely because i support them.

and i know the Dragons are not the Knights, but we definitely have the strike power to score the tries, especially since goodwin is back.

Tough to call this one. Although I might be biased, I'll tip the Dragons solely because of home ground advantage. The difficulty will lie at hooker for the Dragons. I'm not confident that Priddis will give quick, clean service.

While I think the Dogs will want redemption, Ennis is a big loss to cover.
So I'll go with Dragons.

For the simple fact we are an 80 minute side, if you do not play for 80 minutes, you get beat. Dogs will need to improve significantly to be a chance in this game, which I think they will. It'll be a close one either way.

I've heard Goodwin for the Dogs, is still a few weeks away from coming back despite being named.

Has anyone got any news or further information on this?
Not trying to take the p*ss at all, I hate it when people start false rumours about Saints, so I wouldn't do that to the Dogs fans.

The doggies forwards don't have enough improvement in them from week 1 > week 2 to go close to containing our forwards

You won't see us put in such a horrible performance again. I guarantee it. We've only lost our opening two matches once in the past decade.

We will be primed for a big one. Steve Clarke isn't the video ref either, woo hoo!

wow. gee a lot of you guys dont seem to want to give the knights too much credit. perhaps you believed all the crap about how they have to cope with all the off field drama and the like. i think they still have a team capable of beating the rest of the teams and proved it against the dogs. but yeah i see your point looking at that statistic rather than the two teams that will take the field. i expect the dragons to win as i do every week:cool:
