I must be a happy drunk because me and a mate watched that game on the piss and didn't really blow up about the ref that much.

The main thing I noticed was terrible edge defence by the Warriors, especially Kevin Locke + every fluky Souths offload going perfectly to hand (it happens once in a while I guess) + injuries to Ropati, Locke and even Tate f*cking our defensive structure= defeat.

But still....it is damn hard for the Warriors to win much of anything with the odds that are stacked against them. Odds=Australians btw.

Gee the refs have had a huge influence so far this round. Directly influenced the results in the 2 Friday night games and here today, and certainly tried their hardest to get the Sharks home last night.

I gave credit to Souths for scoring the last try and holding on, but I can also see that the Warriors had some damn awful decisions against them.

Well if the Talanoa try wasn't given, which everyone thinks it shouldn't have been, the Warriors would have been up 28-26 and no need for Luck to do the stupid play.

I thought the Talanoa "did he get it down?" try was a try btw. At least BOTD.

Also thought Wesser's second forward pass was forward, the first was more 50/50.

I watched it like 6 times just then and how anyone can come to a conclusion as to it not being a try is beyond me. At the very worst for purely academic purposes perhaps benefit of the doubt but hey the video ref agreed with me so i am not the only person in the world...

eels got two dodgy penalties that put them out beyond 12 with the dogs looking like coming back.

it probably didn't directly influence the result as skeepe claims, but it did take away a possible grandstand finish.

Every time the Bulldogs looked like getting back into the game, the referees managed to find a penalty to Parramatta that ruined what could have been a great game. Two penalties towards the end were ridiculous, and both led to penalty goals which pushed the game out of reach of the Bulldogs.

Look chances are they wouldn't have got there anyway, but the refs decided that they would have no chance.
