Whilst I wouldn't say this is a must win, every game from here to the finals is important. If Tim Grant is back it should be a pretty good contest in the forwards. Hoping we've shaken off any jitters we got from the losing streak.

Panthers by 10.

little chance of missing the 8 from here (touch wood) but if we don't play well in the coming rounds we could still easily miss the top 4. Always a hard game down there on a Monday Night and its their last chance. Hopefully their halves have another off game and we take our chances. Us by 6.

Hopefully Tim Grant is back for this one, we have really missed him over the past month.

I fear for the Panthers here. Panthers not in good form.... Cold monday night in Canberra.... Canberra coming off a heavy defeat.... Canberra's last chance at a finals run.... Canberra by 20+

+ Purtell at centre. All the Raiders halves have to do is keep giving the ball to whichever centre is on Purtell's side, Crocker I believe?, and he'll score 5 tries. :(

For some reason I think Canberra will win this. The Panthers have been very disappointing of late - they could easily have kicked on and made a big run for minor premiership. They still could, but Canberra will be desperate. Having Dugan back is a bonus and playing at home will be too.

Purtell will be fired up big time against the club that released him though. When we played you guys in round 1 he had a great game, scored a double from memory, one off an intercept.

I can't see Penrith winning this TBH

Ben Cummins will do his level best to give them every opportunity, don't you worry.

Cummins, being from Canberra, tries too hard to prove that where he comes from doesn't influence him, and as a result he is far, far harsher on the Raiders than he is on any other team.

All that said, I'm hoping for a repeat of the last time Penrith came to Canberra in round 22 the week after the Raiders suffered a heavy away loss.

Tries from kicks this year for Penrith: 40 Tries from kicks for Raiders this year: 8. If we can defend well in a tight game then we can win from tries off kicks, but I hope that we don't just rely on them. If Raiders come out firing early though and get to a lead then the smart moneys on them. Raiders believe they can still make the 8 so we'll need to be wary of them trying to blitz us early.

Win/lose/draw I'm sure Skeepe will still complain about the refereeing :p
