Had we of lost to Manly yesterday I would pick the Cowboys in an upset.

I believe the manly game is a real season turner and we will have too much to play for (possible top 4 finish or at worst 5/6th) against a cowboys side that can not wait for mad Monday.

Cowboys got their only away win of the season against the Roosters, losing the other 11.

I just don't see the Cowboys winning. At the absolute worst, it's a carbon copy of the Cowboys/Bulldogs match. It'll only take a burst from the Roosters where they control possession for them to break the game open. Roosters win.

Really.. anything can happen here, we can blow them off the park and regain that massive roll on we had earlier in the year.. or flop and screw ourselves over

We haven't really beaten the teams that we 'should have' this year so it's going not going to be as straight forward as people think. I'm tipping us because the Cows have been terrible but it's their last game at home and they will want to end off on a good note so i'm not that convinced...

I can barely remember the last of the weaker sides we've beaten this year.... ummmmm the Storm at their ground would probably be it.

We'll crush them.

Now i thought we had absolutely no hope vs th Sharks a few weeks back because of how we've faired against the lesser teams this year but this time around there will be far too much to play for.

The guys know its a simple case of win and finish 4th-6th or lose and finish 7th. They'll also be desperate to get the ball firmly rolling after Sundays win.

Fair call. I don't know, but the Bulldogs have really underachieved this year. They haven't been that bad overall, they have probably lacked some ball running forwards and creativity. They did towel us up which didn't say much about them, more us but i haven't pinned them into the 'weaker' category this year, not from what i've seen.

Anywho Conn is facing a 1 week ban if he pleads guilty and Masoe should rest up his knee for the finals, so in that case i'd like to see Kennedy and Symonds come in. Symonds i'm a big fan of and reckon he should be given a shot back in FG, even in a pretty crucial match i don't think it's much of a gamble to bring him in.

Symonds hasn't been able to find consistency this year due to injury. I'd leave him to finish the year and try win a comp with Newtown.

We tend to have a decent ending to the year (won in the last round in 2004,2005,2006,2007,2009, which is 5 of our last 6) but even with that record I would not even get close to tipping us... the only way we can win is if we actually defend which seems very unlikely and we rely on the Roosters to play a shocker of a game.

Just can't wait for this year to be over lol

Rorters by 40. Have to prove why they are playing finals footy, & this should be nothing more than a trackwork hitout for them...

Both Cowboys feeder clubs - Northern Pride and Mackay Cutters - will feature in this weekends finals in QLD Cup... while the Newtown Jets NSW Cup side (Roosters feeder) need a win to have a shot at the minor premiership. Teams - http://www.leagueunlimited.com/article.php?newsid=19913
