Who would you give it to?

Creagh? Hornby? Morris? Priddis?

It's a bit tough when the Dragons play like a well oiled machine.

Any of those are better choices than Boyd.

I would have given it to Priddis personally. There was no way Boyd was the best player on the field.

Priddis did a few nice forward passes (or close, hard to tell from dummy half), not really worthy of MoTM. Boyd actually put some effort into his try assists.

Even though his line were all over the shop Thaiday was huge tonight, showed Creagh a thing or two.

I'll take the two points, but not our most convincing peformance. The eprfect game to illustrate just how vital penalties can be. I agree with Warren Ryan on this - most penalties should only be a free tap, no line kick. Perhaps only give the line kick for foul play.

I'll admit to beign stumped by the Morris no try. I'm not sure who was supposed ot have caused the obstruction - Cooper, who ran through a gaping hole in the Broncos defense and couldn't have obstructed anyone, or Boyd, who had a player without possession of the ball run behind him. If it was the latter, than that pretty much rules out a winger ever running in-field to receive the ball, or any kind of inside ball, because the player without possession must run behind the player with the ball (unless they dig a tunnel). Ridiculous decision, though of course the Broncos fans agree with it, as do the Roosters dickheads who only came in here it seems to tell all and sundry how much better their team was last week than ours was this week in rolling a rubbish Broncos team.

Anyone, ignoring insecure Roosters fans, that rubbish Broncos team redeemed themselves tonight. Tremendous effort by them. Sam Thaiday in particular was great. If they play with that sort fo commitment next week they'll make light work of an even more rubbish Sharks team.

You are still cut up about the comments about Saints/Melb & Roosters/Broncs from last week aren't you.

Not in the slightest.

I just get a good laugh out of seeing this "in another league" dragons defence leakig weak as piss tries against school boys.

When they face a so-called attacking side it's going to be very interesting.

Mate its pretty simple stuff, you can not run behind a player, its a shepard and has been ruled a penalty all season, bar a try for Manly that Finch came out and said the refs made a mistake.

Yeah I can't wait. Pretty hard game to get up for. I mean we were playing a mix between the Broncs and their under 20's. But that's okay. We'll beat your team. Pretty easily too. Did I say I can't wait yet?!

Brisbane played very well, as they did last week against the Roosters.
Their effort can not be questioned.

Personally, at the game, we could sense that Saints were flat, and I think the match against Melbourne took a bit out of them, likewise I think it took some out of Melbourne against the Titans.
I don't think Saints ever really got out of 1st gear last night.

Not trying to take anything away from Brisbane, cause their young blokes had a real go....and their supporters should be proud of them.

It's the most obvious ruling available, and it's not a ridiculous ruling. It's one of the few rules that make sense for the logics of the game. And it has been ruled on before, and it will be again I'm sure. Don't listen to the preamble agenda laiden rubbish of Gould, understand the rules. The rules in this instance is 'apparent obstruction without depth'. Basically, what has happened is the lead decoy running, who is not far enough in front of the recipient to be ruled out of contention by the defence, did not receive the ball. As you will notice, the inside defender coming across for Brisbane stops and holds up looking for the lead runner, because he has every right to assume that the person in front obstructing the player behind him is the ball recipient.

There would be a big difference if the player who goes through in front is 3-4 more metres ahead of the ball receiver. Then it is a defensive error, or more pertinently, because he then has time to recorrect and get to the ball recipient.

The ironic thing about Gould's ridiculous tanty is that he, on most games, in most similar situations will trot out the comment that "the defenders should not have to make the choice in this situation". And when he makes that comment he is right. It's when he loses his mind that he is not. Teams and in particular video referees should not be ridiculed because one commentator decides to completely ignore the rulebook and decides to make a mockery of said rulebook with a tantrum that quite frankly is Under 4's stuff. He is the only absurdity in the whole play.

Loved the PJ theme to the game. 9 played "Hail Hail" and "Whipping" in the intros and a sign in the crowd read "Kind Jeremy the Wicked".

I love it too being a PJ fan, it's been used the last few weeks. I've noticed it on a few of the games. /thumbs up

Technically Jamie Soward was obstructed by Ben Hannant in round 10 last year. Yet nobody wanted to hear that the correct decision was made on that occasion.
