Penrith have been building nicely to a performance like that. I thought the Panthers clearly won the forward battle, laid a solid foundation and we scored some good tries. The Sea Eagles tried hard but the Panthers were too good on the night. A little disappointing to concede the two late tries. Not convinced about the first one to Williams, most at the ground seemed to be of the opinion he didn't ground the ball and that included the 26 players on the ground who had regrouped for 20 metre tap.

Manly are missing several key players but, they've also had plenty of time to adjust to that and work out some combinations between those that are there.

The Panthers looked great tonight, their confidence is sky high and that'll usually bring out the best in the players... exactly what happened.

Manly on the other hand are nearly the exact opposite. Low on confidence and are playing very tentative football.

My point is... there's no excuse for being low in confidence. They were coming 5th and had a good, come from behind win against Souths last week. Most of them need a solid kick up the bum.

Bring on the bye.

Peter Sterling said it on the Sunday Footy Show a couple of weeks ago that he is 'the most complete player in the NRL'.

very disapointed in the Eagles performance after 20th minute. I really thought they'd put up an effort against Panthers. Maybe the pink was offputing to tackle lol. Congrats to the Panthers they prooved they definatly in running to win this year. Thank heavens for the bye next week after the injuries they got.. they will be back.

Geez that Tony Williams try was a 50-50 call

I thought his desperate attempt to throw the ball back infield while going over the sideline in goal said it all. Tony Williams knew he didn't ground the ball, the 26 players on the field appeared to share his view but that didn't deter Sean. No he obviously saw something almost everyone at the ground didn't. Sean saw the ball being ground, no benefit of the doubt decision required. TRY. Shame for Lachlan Coote who had done a terrific job in keeping Wiliams out, or so we all thought.

Seriously. Even my Manly supporter cousin couldn't believe that one. The first thing he said was if he had grounded it he wouldn't have been so desperate to pass the ball.

The last time I went to a Panthers and Sea Eagles game with him was the 72-12 thrashing in 2004. Don't think he'll be going to another anytime soon.

i thought the back replay that Sterlo was talking about gave enough to give BOTD
not a straight out try but definite BOTD imo

Been waiting all season for that. No idea what we did different last night for our attack to click, it seemed to be the same stuff we've been doing all year, apart from runnign it on the last a heap.

Too good, just way too good. Thought we weren't too bad, but Penrith were fantastic.

I thought the T Williams try was fair enough, the back angle looked like he might've got it down, BDou for sure.

I don't buy into the theory that because Williams threw the ball back in field it means he knew he didn't get it down. He might've had a bit of doubt on whether he did or not, so he threw it just in case.

Williams try was 50/50 would have been happier with BoD. I am confident he grounded the ball, but was his arm on the touch line at the time was the question.
