100th Kangaroos Kiwis clash... no, ARL-recognised test!?

I'm just doing work on International results on RLP and I've just noticed something. From what I can gather Australia has played New Zealand in 99 official test matches, meaning the one later this year will be the 100th clash between the two sides. If I'm right I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned and celebrated more.

No because we played the 100th test back in 2003...Aussie wont admit World Cup games as Test Matches....

Well neither does the NZRL. According to their stats Australia and NZ have played 101 times now, but two of those were against the Superleague Australian team. So that falls in line with the distinction that the only world cup matches which count as "tests" are the 1995 matches.

I agree it's bizarre in many ways, but I don't make the rules!
