The Panthers had the winning of this game, but a poor decision not to take a gift 2 points in a game where the scoreboard attendant was dying of boredom, and an easy conversion missed cruelled their chances. Manly played a tradesmanlike game, very few mistakes and a rock solid defensive line, and hung on well when under the pump late in the game. They will go a long way this year.
