Dugan was our best today IMO, followed by Shillo and Tonguey.

Buttriss proved yet again why he's not the answer, we looked much worse with his slow service and poor defence today.

agreed more or less but tongue still has some issues imo. Neither are good options really in the nine.

It's interesting. Locke is often compared to Dugan, and the way that Dugan was thrown into first grade and thrived was used as an argument for giving Locke the fullback jersey last year. It seems that Dugan's star has fallen and Locke is on the rise. Perhaps we managed Locke's rise well after all?

How has Dugan's star fallen? First choice NSW fullback, won the match pretty much on his own last week, our best again this week... I'd love to know what you're basing that on.

Dugan's learning what Jarryd Hayne had to learn - carrying a team by yourself isn't easy. And sometimes the harder you try the worse you're going to look.

I think Raiders fans are finally starting to learn that too.

Well, to be honest, I don't watch a lot of Raiders' matches. But the ones I have watched (and in his performance in Origin 1) he looked pretty pedestrian. Perhaps he has played blinders whenever I don't watch...I'm not sure. (I was overseas for last week's Raiders game- I probably would have watched it otherwise)

I'd much rather Locke than Dugan though

I'm not even exaggerating here, when I say that has got to be the worst, the shittest, the most dumb post I have ever read on a forum.

Wow... just wow...

I think that's more or less it as well. Once Campo comes back it takes a shit load of pressure off Dugan.

Dugan's playing as well as he's being allowed to. The opposition know that he's our go-to man, and they defend accordingly.

Locke hasnt got that level of attention from defences yet, but if he keeps putting together such impressive performances, it surely won't take long.

135-44 over the last 4 weeks against teams who won't be playing finals football, time to see what they're really made of next Saturday, travelling away to Brisbane.

This.

The next couple of weeks will be big tests for the Warriors to see if they really are becoming a high quality team or have just flourished against some 'meh' teams. I guess the pleasing thing is the combinations forming in key positions - Maloney and Johnson, Mateo and Locke, even the centres Berro and Moon with their respective wingers.

TBH, I thought it wasn't exactly a high quality game. Some of the defence from both sides at times was very poor.

For the Raiders, their young backrowers Papilii and Mataora look like high quality prospects. Dugan I thought was generally quite good, and Shillington frankly always fires up for the Warriors and so his high quality performance was to be expected. Man, he flattened Godinet and Luck!

Dugan has been injured all year and has to carry the raiders in the games we play. He has been forced into an unnatural play maker role and has done pretty well but what he has been forced to do this year is not his natural game. He is at heart an old school fullback.

In the greater scheme of things this year will make him a better player and I've been impressed by his heart and effort.

Good point- although if teams are unaware of the danger Locke presents these days, they are moronic and poorly coached.

I think Locke is underrated. He doesn't seem to figure much in the best of the best fullbacks discussions for example. It'll be interesting to see who Stephen Kearney goes for as Kiwis fullback - surely Lance Hohaia won't get that gig anymore, Hoffman and Locke have both had very fine seasons. I don't think Locke stands out in any one area. He's not an out and out speed machine, he's not a fluent halves type fullback.... he is very very good defensively generally, and I think he's good in most areas without standing out in any one. He's probably more rounded than some other fullbacks in that he does everything quite well.

Its great to see him now delivering on his potential now that he has the position he was born to play. The interesting thing at the Warriors will be what they do with Glen Fisiiahi and Omar Slaimankhel. It would seem fullback is now owned by Locke, those two guys are both outstanding talents.

Yep. I am glad we won the 4 matches- let's be honest, we've dropped those sorts of matches pretty predictably before. Hopefully we can kick on from here

Fisiiahi is signed to 2015, so they must have some sort of plan for him
